Tropes galore with this bookish romance.  Take one established author who has a lot to lose and one well-known book reviewer with dreams of being a writer, add in a snowstorm, forced proximity.    What results is a fab read from a new to me writer.

Axel and Mia are a great pairing.  Axel loves being a writer but he needs to be successful to protect his sister.  Mia dreams of being a writer but meantime uses her reviews to inform her readers of worthy books.  They are hugely likable independently and together they just made sense.  Axel and Mia both have some emotional baggage to contend with and you can understand why they both erected barriers to their hearts.

I love books that include all the pitfalls, highs and lows of writing.  The fact that Mia is also a reviewer added some obstacles for Axel to overcome.  There are some great secondary characters in Buzz and Rosie and Sugar Falls could be a character on its own!  

I did enjoy meeting the owners of the town's diner and I really hope we get to see more of them in future books - they were another trope I love.
