I'm seriously so in love with this series. This book was filled with so many high stake adventures and the character development in Sophie I thought was really well done in this book. Now that I think of it, her character is done well in the other books, but I felt this one took it to the next level. Wish I could say, but you know... don't want to spoil anything. I'm also hard core shipping a certain pair and I REALLY REALLY hope it turns out well in the end! Also, another huge cliff hanger. Should have expected that. I'm going to go start the next book now!

The character growth, the scheming, the crushes, the layered plot and not to mention the extra time with secondary characters that I love.

So there is a lot that didn't do it for me in this book, first there is a thing about killing a character, just let it dead please or find a better way to bring it back cause this one trigger me so much I almost stop reading.

Second, there is not much happening, I am exausted because this book could have been 500 pages long instead of 800 ish 
The fun don't happen until the last 200 pages, that's a hole lot of pages that are full of detail quite nice, but unusefull.

But there's a lot of describing and details. Unfortunately, you can't guess what's going to happen cause you don't have all the clues in hand, but if you like like that it's fun.

We had a hole lot off keffee, but there a good 100 pages when he's not there and this pass could have been taken off cause nothing really important happened.

Also! Can someone explain me why their bodyguards can't go with them when their going to risk their lives!?? I'm mean their entire purpose is to protect them!! 

The end it's still worth the read cause there a big glow up for everyone. But still it's was long for nothing

Reread but I did it very quickly, I read just my favourite moments. This is definitely one of my favourite books of this saga (and one of my favourite sagas ever <3).

As the battles continue, Sophie must uncover the truth about the Lost Cities' past.

I really enjoyed diving back into this world. I thought this book was super compelling as well. I felt like this book had a to manage or navigate so many characters. I did at points wish some of the other characters had gotten a bit more focus. I am loving the balance between children characters and also the adults characters, I loved how shannon has crafted these relationships. It was super engaging plot that really focused on expanding the world. This book had some many OMG moments that were super compelling and i am dying to keep reading this series soon!

I didn't think I could love this series any more than what I already did, but then I read Nightfall, and my heart did a somersault, and here I am, telling you that this series is my ultimate favourite EVER!!!

Let's start with the Romantic tension that Shannon brought to the table because, holy hell, was it good. I am still and forever will be Team Keefe (Not sorry), and this book only made that ship harden. After the last book, I thought the chemistry would be gone, but nope, if anything, it's 1000x more intense, and I love it. We got to see a lot more between Sophie and Keefe throughout this book, and I just adored every page. 

Dex is the sweetest baby! The scene between Sophie and Dex (You know the one if you read it) tugged at my heart. How can they both be so cute? I'm so glad they pushed through that initial awkwardness and manage to have a stronger friendship...It's so cute and wholesome. I want to hug them both!!

I feel like we barely saw Fitz throughout this book, but he gave off so much negative, jealous tension that I'm glad he stayed away. I love Fitz, but I don't like him with Sophie; it just feels weird to me, and I'm not sure why. 

“What was that?” Keefe asked. “Did the Mysterious Miss F. just agree that I’m a genius? Because that’s what I heard! And it’s filled my heart with all the warmest, softest fuzzies.”

The plot for this one was so good, and I was left more and more excited with each discovery. Shannon Messenger knows how to keep readers engaged and hooked!! Did I expect the ending? Not at all. Did my heart break over Sophie's parents? Yes. Did I love the story anyway? Hell yes.

Overall this may be my favourite book of the series so far, but I say that about them all so...

4.25 stars. I always love hanging out with Sophie and the gang and this time was no exception. It’s amazing to see the character development and the mature growth these characters have made so far. I cannot wait to continue and see what happens next.
