This took me a while to finish due to I guess not being 100% interested. But around the later half of this volume becomes really interesting in my opinion! 
I enjoyed the art a lot so I suppose that is why I gave it 3 stars rather than 2.

Ok so this was both my first experience with superhero comics in general and also my first experience with reading comics/basically anything on the Kindle app, so I will add the disclaimer that a decent portion of my good experience does come from the format because it forced me to actually focus on each panel instead of scanning a whole page while on autopilot and just missing all of the fun details. 
I had never read anything Nightwing before so while there were a lot of previous events that were referenced, I did like how I could still appreciate the narrative at hand. I could not put it down at all.

The whole conflict between Dick Grayson and Batman vs Dick Grayson and Raptor was really well done, imo. I really liked the parallels put in contrast with their differences, differences that really made a huge impact on each character. Grayson's character evolution was really cool to see because it was obvious how he went from extremely questioning of himself to realizing how to use his instincts to decide what's the most important to him. 
I'm also always a sucker for a villain with a shady backstory who suddenly gets a dramatic reveal - omg he's a lot more creepy and scary than we thought he was?? Love love l0ve
