This was a good book! I can see the crossover in the buildup of suspense with her JD Robb books. Enjoyed this quick read.

Lots of pointless rambling dialogue, and flat characters. Readable, but only just.

The book is great. It’s well written with tons of detail. Maybe even too much detail that it can be hard to keep things straight. It’s also mostly build up. I’d say out of a 500 page book 450 of those are just for building up what ends up being a very short finale (which is also pretty easy to guess, from the beginning I knew exactly how this book was going to end even the big surprise) It took me forever to finish this book because not a lot is happening until the very end.

Nora Roberts's book are potato chip lit for me. I love them, but they're kind of empty calories. Predictable but enjoyable.

Every time I say I am not going to read another Nora Roberts because "they are all the same", she makes another interesting book. Having been a single mom and a daughter who is a single mom, I love Griff!

I have fun reading Nora Roberts books, and this one was no exception. A bit overlong with some repetition, I still thoroughly enjoyed Shelby's story of coming back from a horrible marriage filled with lies. I especially loved the ending (view spoiler)[because Shelby saves her own darn self before her guy can come do it for her (he is on his way though) (hide spoiler)]. Perfect type of book for reading while keeping one eye on three year old.

As always, Nora Roberts has come up with another winner. It was a good story with engaging characters. However, it seemed as though this was the first of one of her trilogies rather than a stand alone story. It was easy to see that the supporting characters could have had their own books. The romantic suspense was fairly limited, but still this was a good stand-alone story.
