I could put it down, it wasn’t one that I snuck my phone to read. Their love story was way rushed. And the whole “beast” aspect was only brought in in like the 150th page and it was not very prominent... still good tho.

An interesting version of the classic ‘Beauty and the Beast’ storyline. It felt quite believable (as much as a fantasy book set within a magical, fairytale world can feel) and I loved the quite feminist perspective of Lady Eville bringing her daughters up to seek revenge on men. The whole girls can do anything boys can type vibe - I like that. I enjoyed that I didn’t predict the entire plot too, and that there were a few surprises. 

Overall, I enjoyed this book and it was an easy read, but I wish it was longer and more developed. I really enjoyed the enemies to lovers aspect, but I wish there was a bit more romance involved and I want to feel more invested and interested in the characters stories. I’m not particularly fussed about any of them, at the moment, apart from Rosalie. I would have loved more backstory for Rosalie and more information on all of the characters different personalities. Hopefully, more information will be discovered as I continue reading the series.
