You know all those feels I talked about having while reading Her Forbidden Hero? I had even more in One Night with a Hero. I enjoyed this book so very much. It was super sexy and emotional and the total package. I was a fan of Laura Kaye's work before this book, but this moved her onto my auto buy list. 

The characters are what really make this book. Joss was sassy and amazing. I loved her from the first page until the very last one. I loved how determined she was to live her life on her own terms. I liked Brady in Her Forbidden Hero, but I absolutely adored him here. Yes, even when he was being a jerk. These two had tons of chemistry from their very first meeting and the spark just got stronger. Their sexy times were super hot. But it was the emotion they brought to the whole story – the good and the bad – that made me love it so much. 

Just typing this review makes me want to go back and read this book again. It was far too short for my liking. Not because it felt unfinished, but because I just loved these characters and I wanted more. Everything about them – from the dialogue to the situations they were in to how they handled themselves – was so realistic. This book never felt forced or fake. It flowed along, punched me in the feels and then made it all better again. I just can't ask for more than that. 

This is a great series and I really wish it would continue. It's worth mentioning that the main characters from the first book, Alyssa and Marco, play a pretty large part in moving Joss and Brady's story along. I loved them even more this time around. If you're in the market for a quick, sexy read that packs an emotional punch, you should check this series out. They're standalone novels, but I would definitely recommend you read both of them. You don't want to miss these characters.
