A short story about a young girl striving to be an Instagram influencer. Her whole Instagram is a lie. She has a stalker her tracks her down, kills her friend and she allows him to escape so her Instagram secret is not exposed. It is full of shallow characters, not much narrative and really left unfinished. I’m glad this was a kindle unlimited and I didn’t have to pay for it. Only giving it a one star because I have to rate to review.

This was just okay. Nothing necessarily bad about it but nothing great either. I've also read 'My Sister, the Serial Killer' by the same author and I felt the same about that one. I just don't think this author is for my unfortunately.

2.5 stars. I appreciated the commentary on "influencers" and Instragram's false realities, but I can't say I enjoyed this. I did like Adepero Oduye's narration.

Ruth Parker 

An interesting look at social media and the way it can influence your life in the darkest possible ways. I found this book interesting and eye opening. However, for me the characters didn’t really stand out very well and I didn’t believe how quickly it escalated. Maybe this would have benefitted from being a little longer!
