this series was everything I needed! I have been following Penelope Black’s writing since she started these series & immediately I fell in love with the pictures she painted. Madison is a great female main, I love the realness to her & how she always was in her head about things & her feelings, I thought it humanized her in a lot of ways & I connected with her on personal levels with what she was experiencing. I loved the boys as well, Matteo, Leo, Dante & Rafe. I was instantly intrigued by all of them for desperate reasons & there connections to Madison. it felt personal between each of them equally. this book ended & caught me off guard at the ending, but truly I appreciated it for the way it ended. the epilogue answering all the questions quickly & effectively. I loved this series! & love the timeline it plays into! 

truly sad to be leaving the 5 families behind, but can’t wait for what comes next.
