a very nice addition to the series! it includes three short stories, some quizzes and overviews of gods, monsters etc as well as interviews with some campers!

i really enjoyed the stories, and i nearly teared up at the percy & clarisse teamup :') 

what i liked about these was that they weren't just filler, but actually had impact on some things later on in the series or in heroes of olympus! i don't know why i hadn't known about this sooner, but im glad i read it

THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PJO SHORT STORY EVER! Percy, Annabeth, Silena and Beckendorf worked together and it was soooooooo cute. I'm a very happy fangirl

This book is meant to be read between BOL and TLO but I’m reading it after reading PJO and HOO series. The Bob backstory was my favorite of the short stories. Overall, the book gives the universe and characters more depth and provides little details for the PJO and HOO series.

Shattered my heart to pieces, since I read it after HoH. I couldn't help but moan and scream through all the mentions to some very dead, very beloved characters. Damn you, uncle Rick. I was howling and my classmates gave me strange/afraid looks.

I liked that it was many shorthistories and interwies with the 'stars' from the books. There were adventures from the time we don't know about and I really liked the gods. The only thing is that I wish there were more insiders about the camp. Not just Percy

Going into this one, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, so if you're interested in reading this, this predates the Last Olympian. There are three short stories starring Percy Jackson and some fun interviews of the characters in the book, ranging from minor to major. I enjoyed all of it, but it's almost a little sad and nostalgic in some of the stories if you've finished the series like I have. (If you have, you'll know what I mean.) It's a lot of fun and doesn't mess with the momentum of the real stories. These are like small events that happened between the larger events of the books and have little to no effect on the future. The lack of gravity is kind of unfortunate, seeing as they could have completely failed and it might never have been mentioned in the real books, but they were a fun read all the same if not a little simple. I definitely enjoyed it.

I never intended on reading it but after I got a recommendation I decided to. Definitely a good (optional) book to read before starting Heroes of Olympus. Very short, light easy to digest stories along with some activities near the end along with fun bonuses

Tampoco hay mucho que decir, ya que se trata de 3 mini historias: la lucha contra las hormigas gigantes y la salvación del dragón de oro, la recuperación de la espada de Hades y la recuperación de la carroja robada de Ares que tenía que llevar Clarisse. Aparte de eso, hay entrevistas a algunos personajes y un repaso de las criaturas más importantes, las armas y los dioses.

Another cute little PJO novel. Three short stories - Clarisse & Percy, Percy and Beckendorf (sob, I miss the guy) and BOB, the Friendly Titan. Loved, loved loved this book.

WHY: Revisiting Riordan’s Greek mythological world with my girlfriend before attempting to read the Heroes of Olympus series together. 
STORY: This Percy Jackson companion novella includes three short stories, with camper interviews, world-building details and book puzzle games throughout.
The Stolen Chariot adds to the rivalry turned begrudging friendship between Clarisse and Percy as they track the title’s namesake from sons of Ares Deimos and Phobos throughout Staten Island Zoo. The Bronze Dragon includes two romantic pairings and is of particular importance to the Heroes of Olympus series, introducing Festus as Beckendorf is trapped in a Myrmekes nest during a Capture the Flag game at camp. The Sword of Hades is definitely the best one, combining every fan’s dream of the big three children Thalia, Percy and Nico with a trip into the Underworld featuring angry spirits and the River Lethe. 
All three stories are also effective in increasing suspense for the final book in the PJ series, as this is set after the penultimate fourth entry but before The Last Olympian.
WRITING: Classic Rick Riordan humour integrated with just enough detail for a short story format. Whilst there are a few funny bits in the interviews, I found them very skippable (with the exception of Annabeth).
WHO: If you enjoyed the Percy Jackson series you will enjoy this. I’d say it is almost necessary reading if you plan on starting the Heroes of Olympus.
