This Gilbert Grape is so funny and damn his family is dysfunctional as hell..every single one of the Grape's have serious issues. The only one that really doesn't in my opinion in Arnie..yea he is "special", but he can't help himself.

I've got to find this movie and watch it..I need to see how Gilbert is portrayed on film. I laughed throughout most of the book with Gilbert's blunt thoughts of his family, especially thoughts of his mom and Arnie. I need to know if I will laugh for the movie too...or am I a f***ed up person to be laughing at the way he talks about his family and his life.
