I have already told three people about this book in person (and yes, that's a lot for me - I spend most of my time painting alone!!) - so it is fair to say that I DO recommend it. 

It is a relatively quick read, given the gravity of the story. And I just loved it. It brought to light yet another practice of human cruelty I knew nothing about, while showcasing a story of a woman's strength through trauma (without glorifying or romanticising it).
