This is my first ever full length novel from this author. And I am 100% sure that it will not be my last. Forget Me Not was an absolutely beautiful, heartbreaking and emotional story with a lot of angst, graveling and a ton of sexual tension. Honestly, this book had me in its grip from chapter 2. I did not want to put this down at all. I absolutely loved both of the main characters Olivia and Bennett were both really easy to understand and like. The very second of meeting them, I couldn’t help but hope that they would make it. I have such great chemistry and passion that’s not forced one bit. Their love is strong and even though they’ve both made mistakes, I loved watching them learn to forgive and trust each other again. This will definitely be on my list of favorite books that I've read this year.

This book had a lot of things I love angst, second chance romance, strong female characters, chemistry, and complicated emotions. However normally with this kind of story that it has the power to make want to cry or feel that heavy emotional gut punch and it just never got there. Bennet and Olivia were great I liked how you could feel their passion and emotions towards one another. 

I could in the end forgive Bennet for the cheating, but I HATED that after when they were in the process of their divorce he went back to the girl he had the one night stand with when he was almost black-out drunk. How stupid can you be? Them having to go through two miscarriages affected them both to the point where they weren't the same people, and she shut down and checked out of their marriage long before he cheated. For me just because he started feeling empty and needed someone who would let him think about his wife while still trying to have Oliva forgive him was a bad approach. It's no wonder Olivia tried to move on too, and I couldn't blame her but there was definitely blame on both sides. They both did things to hurt each other and push the other away. I don't know if the accident hadn't happened would they have ever found their way back to each other, but I guess that is aside from the point. Unfortunately, their getting back together wasn't nearly as rewarding as I wanted it to be and I really wanted this story to be a slowburn with main focus on rebuilding to something better. I can't deny that this book did keep me turning pages to see how their story would unfold but something was missing. All in all, I liked the book but with a story like this I want it to move me to my core and it never got there for me.

I'm done and sadly I have to retract my initial assessment. For the first 100 pages, I was utterly in love with the characters. However, Olivia turned into a rather spineless archetype and Bennet's overbearing attitude was painful to read. This is very unfortunate because the plot was irresistible and the character development I foresaw was almost a dream come true. Their toxic method of resolving dispute lost its glamour halfway into the book and I'm disappointed I didn't see the red flag for what it was immediately. Frankly, the story fell flat for what was gearing up to be my favorite read of the year. Nevertheless, I want to read more of this author's works in the future and hopefully, they are properly executed.

Man man man this book was pure GOLD. From the very beginning I could tell it was going to be fan fucking tastic! The situation of him losing his memory was really interesting for a plot which as you could guess there would be flashbacks of what their marriage was before it happened. The fact that they were in the middle of a divorce?! Too damn good. Olivias character was charming and cute but Bennette?! Good God that man was walking sex and dominance and THAT is panty dropping all on its own. Even though he was the one without his memory he was never made to seem weak and was still in control of getting his wife back. I love every minute of this book I wish this was a duet or something because I didn’t want it to end. In conclusion stop reading my review right and starting reading this book.

Second chance between a married couple is my JAM yall. The only reason I didn't give it the full 5 stars is that I felt like Olivia forgave Bennett too quick and that's why she was so wishy washy

For me 3 stars is a positive review, so please do not think that I didn't like the story.

TW: Car Accident, Cheating, Miscarriage

Miscarriage is a very tricky and personal thing and so are marriages, hence I do not feel like I can comment on that part of the storyline because giving advice is easy but only the couple who've went through it know the difficulties and pain.

So, overall I really liked the storyline and the fact that it made me cry really early is a win in my book itself. Livi's point was justified throughout the book and even though I hate Bennett for his doing, it's a matter of do you want to be together or separate? And if you are staying together, then you have focus on letting go and making your relationship stronger.

Now, the part of why it's 3 stars and not more:- 
1. It was mentioned quite in the beginning that intimacy was their thing and so with the continuous sex scenes I wasn't bothered, but after many and too many sex scenes, all I wanted was to see them doing things that don't involve getting horny. Maybe a normal movie night at home with cuddling? Or something couple-y that's cute?
2. It didn't break my heart. With the hype on bookstagram when this book was newly released, I expected tons of tissues and puffy red eyes. I did cry, but only in the beginning...after that there weren't any tears, just some sadness and betrayal but also understanding.
3. I wanted to see them grow together. Counselling sessions, bonding moments, therapy assignments or anything else.

Still I'm extremely happy that I read this.♡
