I love Marvel comics, but I'm always looking to branch out to other superhero comics and I think this comic has a lot of potential. It kind of reminded me a bit of how Kamala Khan got her powers, but with a little bit of Luke Cage mixed in, but I also think this story made those tropes its own. I liked Quin as a character, and I also liked how his parents were very much involved in the story as well. Honestly absent parents is a very big thing in books nowadays, and I'm kind of tired of that trope.

The art style is amazing and I loved all the diverse characters this comic has! Highly recommend, especially if you've enjoyed Marvel and/or DC comics in the past, I will definitely be picking up the second volume asap!

I'm still pretty new to reading graphic novels, but I absolutely LOVED this one! It reminded me a bit of Ms Marvel. It was a quick read, and I'm excited to find out more about this superhero universe as I really lovd Quin as a character!

4-stars because while extremely enjoyable and very fun, while still having themes rooted in community and belonging and wanting to make a difference in the world, I felt parts were rushed even for a graphic novel style story. As a big fan of hero stories and a person who reads comics often, it felt like the process of Quin becoming the hero he's capable of being could have been drawn out a little longer to let us see more into him and his life? I did really love it though.

An easy read

Glad to know this is only a first volume because it felt like something was missing at the end. I liked this book but, even though I kind of want to know how it ends, I don’t think I will continue the series. Here is why. I saw on Goodreads that each of the superheroes mentioned in this book have their own comics (between 1 and 3 books) so it just seems like too much effort. 
The art was quite nice, well drawn, totally my style and colourful. The book was full of action and discusses some important topics such as bullying, equality and fairness. The story has a very nice flow. However, I didn’t feel particularly attached to Quin and/or other characters. I don’t know, I just didn’t feel invested in the story. I didn’t find it incredible and extraordinary. Hence, I would recommend this graphic novel to people who love superheroes. It is an easy read and very nice for the eyes.
