This is one of the best books I have ever read. I don't say that lightly. I did not expect much from the book and was thus utterly blown away by the power of Platt's expertly written prose. Underneath that prose lies a rock solid Biblical foundation. That prose is chock full of profound statements worth highlighting. (I'm extremely careful with my books. It takes a lot for me to want to highlight something in a book.) Not only are these statements profound, they are convicting. Perhaps they have so much weight because they are so convicting.
I highly recommend this book but only if the reader is ready and willing to understand and apply the truths declared there.

(Oh...I also loved the anecdote about a former drug smuggler whose life was radically transformed by God offering to lend his "expertise" to missionaries attempting to smuggle Bibles into closed countries. Fabulous!)
