How to Play the Nimzo-Indian Defence

Nimzo-Indian Defence is an ideal fighting defence to 1 d4. Black immediately seeks to create pawn weaknesses in his opponent's position in order to exploit these in the middlegame and endgame. In the resulting positions, both sides have clear strategic objectives and the result is decided by the skills of the two players in realizing these objectives.
