This book is organized into 40 chapters, which I think corresponds to the 40 days of the temptation faced by Jesus. The book is especially good for new Christian. It told us that we can never gain real satisfaction and success if we don't look at God. It teaches us to be humble in front of God, and then be a servant and a friend of God. What it means by "purpose" in the book title is that we are living our lives to realized god's plan. 
I read the book within one day. This is just my personal preference. I hate spreading my workload across a long period of time. I still digest most ideas of the book because I highlighted and take notes of the important concepts. Then I realized the important concepts are repetitive. It might not be obvious if you read it using 40 days, but if you read it in one day, it is very obvious. Therefore, this book is kind of shallow in my opinion. 
Overall: good for new Christians, not good for deep thinkers.

Another book that I didn't end up reviewing because I was too occupied with other things in life. But overall, this is a life-changing book. And I wouldn't mind reading it all over again in the future because I feel like I will always need to be reminded of all the things explained in this book. It's always nice to know that you have a purpose in this world and not just mindlessly going around our days feeling useless and meaningless. Definitely a 5/5!
