That (view spoiler)[Sydrian Wedding (hide spoiler)] might be the best thing that's happened to me all year. 

I wish I knew someone IRL who reads this series cuz I have much feels. 

I used to tell people that I would be screening my future husband for the last name Ivashkov, Herondale, and O'Shea. I don't think that I can keep Ivahskov on that list now. It would just be wrong now (view spoiler)[that Sydrian's married. Sydney Ivashkov sounds much better than Monica Ivashkov anyway. (hide spoiler)]

I love the Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead, but I found this book a little slower than her other novels in the series. I do not love the Bloodlines series as much as Vampire Academy, but I still find myself wanting to find out what happens to Eddie, Jill, Adrian, Angeline and Sydney.

Following Sydney and Adrian apart, and then together again, started out in a very slow manner. After about half way through the book, the action we love from Richelle Mead comes in and made me love the book! 

This is a very good read, but not one of Richelle's best. I still want to continue the series, but I would not rate this book five stars for the slow start. 

The ending that happened in this book was not surprising and not the shock I had hoped to expect from Richelle. It was expected and a very obvious "twist" ending. 

Four out of five stars. A little predictable and slow, but still a good read by Richelle.

Having caught up with the series only this February the wait for this book was slightly less painful than it could've been, but I devoured it nevertheless. 
It was exactly what I expected it'd be, and I must admit I'd have preferred it to be longer and be the final book cause it felt a little dragged.
Lenght aside, though, it was an amazing feels driven journey. Not flawless, sure, but emotion worthy.

I feel a bit torn about this book and I don't really know how to rate it, I really wanted to love this and give it 5 stars and whatever but I just can't. Here are my messy thoughts because I'm just not good at writing and these are mostly my feelings about the book:

The first part of the book was really frustrating for me, I hated Adrian's POV, I had the temptation of skipping his parts because I was so mad that that was the direction Richelle chose to go with him. That was not the Adrian I love and I'm pissed off because I think that whole thing was completely unnecessary.(view spoiler)[ I can understand that he's going through a rough time and that Spirit is fucking with his head but getting so lost in his head that he actually forgot about Sydney? And the whole Nina thing? Yeah, no, I don't accept that.  (hide spoiler)]

After that, I just was too upset to actually enjoy the rest. The storyline of re-education kinda felt flat to me and I wasn't as shocked as I was expecting to be. Again, the book was too centred in Adrian and Sydney, I wanted more Eddie, Jill, Angeline, Trey... I just wanted more. 

(view spoiler)[ Also, I have to say that I'm really upset with the fact that Rose wasn't part of getting Sydney out of re-education. For me, Rose owes Adrian because he helped her get Dimitri back and, let's be honest, she was a complete bitch to him. I had this headcanon in which Adrian asked Rose for help and she was like okay I get it, let's get Sydney back. So, when that didn't happen and instead we got Lissa saying absolutely no and Rose not even saying anything or going after Adrian I was shocked. I mean, it was not only Adrian who helped Rose but Sydney did got in trouble with the Alchemists because she helped her, you would think that Rose would care a little more... I D K. 

About the wedding, I'm like... whatever? I don't know, it was so rushed and everything was so crazy I just didn't enjoy it and that sucks because they are one of my otps if not THE otp and the fact that I feel so meh about their wedding sucks. Still, they are Sydney and Adrian and it's not like I hate that they are married, I just wish it hadn't been done like that. Also, the moment they said they were going to Vegas I was like "ugh they are going to get married, aren't they?" It was predictable and messy and I just... UGH. On the upside, my url in tumblr just became canon so that's cool. (hide spoiler)]

In general, I just think the book was messy, things happened that didn't make any sense to me and things were left in the air and were not developed enough so I don't know how everything is gonna get wrapped up in the last book.

OH MY GOD THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL! 

"Are you I'm a suit?" I managed at last, my voice choking up. "You didn't have to dress up for me."

I've fallen so in love with this series and this one was just as fantastic, if not better! I think this definitely up there with one of my favorites in the series. It was so so so different from the other ones but in a good way. We pick up a few months after that heartbreaking ending of fiery heart and the first 100 pages were tough to get through..but only because we just love Sydney and Adrian so much and after everything they went through it was so sad to see them in such a dark place. This book really was a lot darker and more serious than the other ones but we really got to see Adrian and Sydney grow individually and it was so so raw. Adrian's POV was heartbreaking and Sydney's was nerve wracking and so sad. The alchemist are such horrible people. But I did love the addition of Emma, Duncan and Carly. Even though it was different, the whole book was still extremely gripping and I couldn't put it down! So action packed and suspenseful! 

After getting through the first 100 pages, it took a huge turn and was so hopeful and so brilliant! I did not see any of that ending coming and it was so EPIC AND BEAUTIFUL! I cried, clapped and screamed as I finished it. Without a doubt one of my favorite endings in Vampire Academy history. Adrian and Sydney have come so far and can we talk about how badass and awesome Sydney was with her magic in this one? OMG her growth has been so amazing and I love how powerful she is now. Even Adrian with his spirit use was so cool! Thinking about Bloodlines they've come so far and it's just been so beautiful to see. And I'm so happy for Sydrian!! I still can't get over it! The Sydrian feels were everywhere and it couldn't have been more wonderful. I absolutely LOVED this one, especially THAT PERFECT ENDING! Ahhhh!

ESTE LIBRO DE BLOODLINES TIENE ACCIÓN!!

Estoy muy sorprendida y contenta con este libro porque lo tiene todo. Tiene angustia, dolor, tristeza, felicidad, amor, acción, miedo, todo. Creo que es el mejor de todos los de Bloodlines y sinceramente estoy muy contenta con lo que Richelle nos trajo. Creo que anteriormente estaba basandose más en lo romantico y en la pareja, hasta que por fin pudo entrar un poco en la acción como tenían los libros de vampire academy.
Estoy muy contenta con el final y espero que todo termine bien ): Y si Eddie y Jill no terminan juntos, me voy a poner a llorar. Y SI NO NOS MUESTRAN ESO, VOY A LLORAR MÁS.

No me duró ni veinticuatro horas. Silver Shadows fue mucho más de lo que esperaba, en estos momentos estoy en un limbo, con un subidón de satisfacción que solo baja un poco cuando me doy cuenta que este es el penúltimo libro. No sé que va a ser de mi este año con la espera de Ruby Circle. Pero todavía no nos pongamos tristes, te vine a hablar de Silver Shadows. Todos teníamos teorías y 40% de ellas estuvieron equivocadas. ES CRUEL. No te diré exactamente cuales son, no voy a quitarte nada de la experiencia de lo que es leer este libro.

Recuerdo que en The Fiery Heart, sino me equivoco, dije que se me hacía difícil seguir a Sydney, era un poco denso. Esto cambia totalmente en Silver Shadows, he disfrutado todo, no sé si es porque la magia ya no es tan protagonista como el libro anterior, sólo sé que empecé a leer y simplemente no pude parar hasta las tres de la mañana y luego tuve que poner mucho esfuerzo en interactuar con gente a la hora del almuerzo, salió mal por cierto.

Es un libro en cual las fans más sensibles van a llorar a mares, por cosas malas y por cosas buenas. Richelle es una escritora brillante ¿Una de sus especiales? Los finales traumáticos (como ya se imaginaran este libro no es la excepción) pero cuando escribe romance, Richelle ESCRIBE romance. Romance del tipo que te hace creer que quizá algo como el amor de Adrian y Sydney pueda existir, del tipo que solo quieres abrazarlos y decirles que todo saldrá bien... aunque sabes que será casi imposible, porque al parecer este mundo cruel y malvado no los quiere juntos.

Unos días antes de la publicación de Silver Shadows, ya podíamos leer los cinco primeros capítulos ¡Y qué cosa más dolorosa fue eso! Primero Adrian, oh Adrian, quise golpearte, sacudirte y consolarte tantas veces pero te perdono ¿sabes? Porque es parte de tu personalidad, porque si hubiera sido de manera diferente no habrías sido tú. Y luego Lissa, ay Lissa, nunca has sido un personaje muy... entrañable digamos, pero las fans te odiarán en Silver Shadows. Y aunque no lo crean, kittens, yo la entiendo, sé que si nosotras hubiéramos estado en el lugar de Lissa habríamos puesto a toda la Guardia Real en busca de Sydney pero es política kittens, para bien o para mal. Y es lo que me gusta mucho de la escritura de Richelle Mead, el que sus personajes tengan personalidad, nos guste o no. Además recuerden que Richelle no hace las cosas solo porque sí.

Deben estar preparados para todo tipo de sorpresas, de las buenas, de las malas, de las adorables y las aterradoras. Hay muchos personajes nuevos, recuerda que nadie es lo que parece, también hay personajes de los cuales sentimos curiosidad pero no pudimos ver hasta ahora y también veremos a otros que preferiríamos no ver nunca más.

¿Valdrá la pena todo el dolor y la tortura? ¿Adrian y Sydney arreglarlo todo? Y lo más importante ¿encontrarán a Sydney a tiempo?

Serían 5 estrellas si el encierro de Sydney no hubiera ocupado la mitad del libro. SÉ que es necesario pero como ya dije no me van mucho ese tipo de escenas en los libros cuando el personaje está encerrado en un estilo de "distrito 13". Las escenas de Adrian en su transcurso me gustaron mucho porque se apegan a lo que Adrian es como personaje. 
Ya cuando salimos de ahí empezó lo bueno. 
Tenemos el cliché de casarse en Las Vegas pero al menos Sydrian lo hizo para obtener beneficios que podrían salvarlos y no para saber que estaban casados antes de que cualquier peligro les ocurriera y los separara (como por ejemplo pasa en la saga lux) 
Creo que la mayoría de los personajes se mantuvieron adoc con su línea aunque extrañé a Jill. Y ahora hay que encontrarla. 
No puedo creer que terminaré esta saga

This one was fairly more predictable than usual but I still really liked it. The insight to how treacherous the Alchemists can be was terrible. This is my thing about these books, they show you how not everyone who is perceived as good is good and not everyone perceived as bad is bad. In fact, it's usually quite the opposite. And yet there are people who still ring true to the stereotypes of their kind. It's not different than how in real life we place stereotypes on different religions, cultures, and races. Sometimes relying on a stereotype to give you information into a person's character can steer you into a completely wrong direction.

We don't see a lot of our usual faces - Jill, Eddie, Niel, Trey, Angeline - but they are there in small amounts.

Again we see the group from VA - Lissa, Christian, Rose & Dimitri - and some of them play larger parts than others.

This one moved kind of slow but had copious amounts of action. I feel like it was slow because there's a lot of unpleasant things going on that for me were just kind of difficult to read. 

I did enjoy the majority of the new characters we met, Duncan and Emma were pretty excellent in the parts they played. 

There was so much action at the end of this one. Every time you thought they were out of the woods, another shoe dropped. It was seriously like a centipede's worth of shoes dropping. It was insane.

The cliffhanger ending was one I sort of expected to happen at some point in the series and I've got a pretty good idea who's to blame.

Silver Shadows: Spoiler review This book surprised me that i liked it so much. I was surprised because normally when people are trying to find each other the story looses appeal for me but this time i was so interested. I was so fascinated by the stories of the people inside the reform camp because what did they do that was so bad. The alchemists in this book made me so angry and the torture scenes were so cruel that i really felt for Syndey because what did she really do wrong? 
 
I liked that for most of the book these two characters were on their own and it showed a lot of character growth and dis growth. It made me grow to love Adrian characters even more. I did miss the focus on the side characters and hope to see that in the final book in the series.
 
I liked once again seeing rose and Lisa and think that next book they will be featured more. I really loved those characters and it was nice to see them more then a chapter or so. 
 
Between the Wedding twist and the Jill twist i was surprised! i can't wait to read the conclusion to this series!

3.5, I really enjoyed seeing what re-education looked like after the threat looming over us throughout the novel however I found Adrian's POV to be a bit slower

The emotions this book evoked were so strong! Throughout the first half my heart went out to Adrian in his downward spiral which was bound to happen. Not to mention Sydney! What a tough bitch! She is right up there with Rose, she has serious guts, intelligence and general bad-assness. I enjoyed reading it, but there was a period about three quarters of the way through where I was just really waiting for something big to happen. And let me tell you, those last hundred pages or so did not disappoint. Crazy action and some big-ass bomb shells and plot twists at the end. This book made me cry of joy and had me in a prolonged state of anxiety for the characters while reading them go on this crazy rollercoaster of a ride. Bring me the Ruby Circle I say!

Tanto tiempo esperándolo y al fin lo leí, fue totalmente perfecto... Con toda la angustia del 4to libro necesitaba saber que pasaba con Sydney y Adrian.

Cada vez más odio a los alquimistas, sin duda están completamente locos por todo lo que hicieron y hacen. Ojalá en el último capítulo dejen en paz a los moroi y dejen a Sydney vivir tranquila.

Me gustaron los personajes nuevos, sobre todo Duncan y Emma, al principio no me caía bien Emma pero con el paso de la historia le fui agarrando confianza como con Duncan que desde el principio me gustó por querer ser amigo de Sydney.

Y LA COSA QUE MÁS ME ENCANTÓ FUE LEER Y SABER SOBRE ROSE Y DIMITRI <3 apesar de que la historia es de Adrian y Syd, amé que ellos salieran en la historia porque la hicieron mucho más perfecta. 

Ya necesito leer el 6to y último libro y saber que nos tiene preparado Richelle para ser el gran final de esta gran saga que sin duda es hermosa y perfecta (sobretodo por tener a Adrian como protagonista).
