Richelle Mead finished off the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series with a cute, but not totally fulfilling novel.

Maybe it's because I've grown up quite a bit since I've read the Vampire Academy series and the rest of the Bloodlines series, but I found this book to be lacking. It seemed very childish, and more of a pre-teen novel than a Young Adult novel. All of the characters were still just like their counterparts in the other books but I found the plot to be lacking suspense, action and romance that were in the previous eleven novels.

Still, the book was a good read. I wasn't totally bored, I just expected and anticipated so much more out of this final novel. The character development was amazing, and the plot continued to move. 

Overall, there wasn't anything wrong with the novel, I just expected so much more out of it since it was the final book in the Vampire Academy/Bloodlines series.

Well... I was a good book. I can't say that I'm okay with how it ended... at least Jill and Adrian didn't die, as it looked in the trailers...

There were really a few surprises.. (view spoiler)[I already expected that in some way dhampir will be able to have children together... and I already knew Dimitri and Adrian will be related to each other in some way... and I was pretty sure it was that bitch behind it all... I really hate Sydney and Adrian got to raise Declan... But I'm happy, really happy that Jill and Eddie finally got to be together. :3 (hide spoiler)]

Overall, it was a good book, but not the final of the series that I wanted.

I finally finished the Bloodlines series! Finally! And as usual, this wasn't as good as the first three books. I was kinda expecting something more since last books of series' are always more amazing, fast paced, and action-packed but none of those things happened in The Ruby Circle. And the epilogue was just meh.

I have SUCH a heavy heart finishing this series...words can't express how in love I am with Richelle Meads world and how much I am going to  MISS  it!

BUT. We left things open and in the acknowledgements she wrote that we're hitting pause for now and not to worry because she doesn't think we've seen the last of these guys!!!!

Seriously though, I don't care what anyone says about this finale. I thought it was action packed not rushed and it kept me on the edge of my seat constantly. Though it did take a very surprising turn, and wasn't at all like I thought it would be, I still enjoyed every moment of it and loved where Richelle Mead took this series. 

I LOVED how much of Rose and Dimitri we got in this one and the plot twist in the middle was VERY unexpected but I'm so happy with it!! I loved how we got some cute moments with them and they interacted ALOT with Sydrian!! I wish we got more Lissa and Christian but I'm not complaining! 

And Adrian. Oh Adrian. We've come to far since being at the ski resort at a party getting drunk with Rose...  I'm still crying  

Adrian was ALWAYS my favorite and I can't begin to express how PROUD I am of him by the end of this series. It's been an absolutely  amazing ride  growing with him and watching him develop into an even more incredible guy. 

 I just love him so much 

And his relationship with Sydney has been such an emotional and fun roller coaste. They went through so much to be to be together and it warms my heart to know they FINALLY got it...ahhhhhhhhhh ALL THE FEELS. 

This book was just FEELS GOLORE. One thing after the other. Little things from past books got brought up and I died and came back to life frequently.

And Sydney. Wow. She has turned into such a badass and strong women. She's so powerful and has also come so very far from when we first met her with Rose in Russia. Just thinking about that, I'm blown away at how amazing she's become and how her love for Adrian and just coming to terms with what she believe in. She's just STRONG in every way. 

OH. AND THAT EPILOGUE. THATS WHEN I REALLY BECAME A SOBBING WRECK. It was perfect and I just kept thinking how I wanted more pages!! I didn't want this to end!

I'm such a mess right now. Mostly I feel so upset that I'm done hanging out with some of my closest friends in their kickass world. But I do have hope that this isn't the end because we got closure to their story but obviously she left things open for a reason. And I can't wait to read more. 

Thank you Richelle Mead for such an emotional yet fantastic ride and for introducing me to friends I'll forever carry with me.

Después de 12 libros es imposible no sentir un vacío, no? Cuando terminé VA me sentí muy triste ya que lo leí en un sólo mes. Pero tenía la tranquilidad de saber que iba a empezar a leer bloodlines. Obviamente me da muchisima angustia dejar esta saga y espero que esto no termine nunca, porque no quiero que pase.

Este libro tuvo muchos sentimientos compartidos por mi parte, no puedo negar que en más de una oportunidad estuve a punto de lloriquear. Creo que Richelle nos dejó dos regalos en el libro y se los agradezco, porque no tenía porque seguir hablando de la pareja de Dimka y Rose pero en cambio lo hizo. Me puso muy feliz como terminaron las cosas para ella.

Tengo que admitir que le bajé una estrella porque lo sucedido con Jill y su raptora (asi se dice?) no me pareció para nada creíble. Lo sentí como una solución sacada de manera apurada y algo absurda pero todo lo demas creo que estuvo bien empleado. Fue un libro realmente fácil de leer, cuando me di cuenta estaba casi al final y tampoco me pareció taaaan meloso como otras veces. Me encanta Sydrian, pero a veces cansaba como eran pero ahora no me quejo. La verdad que el final fue hermoso y me sacó un par dde lágrimas. Termine de leer y me quedé con un puchero triste.

Why is this over? Whyyyyy. I'm so sad. 

I agree with a lot of views that the ending felt a little rushed, I still feel like there is a lot of loose ends still... but would this mean their will be more books? Please. I love this world that Richelle created, the characters are written so well and have such depth to them. I feel like that's why these books are great. Bloodline was different from Vampire Academy, Rose & Sydney are so different, they think differently and act differently but everything they do is from love and their friends. 

I enjoyed the story line to this book however I wish it was double the size!!! I hope there will be another series at some point, I feel the fans want this too!!! I still want to know so much about the characters life's from both series!!!! 

Well... I'm off to watch the vampire academy film and feel depressed there will be no new Vampire Academy or Bloodline in my life....

Oh My God. I cannot believe this amazing series has come to an end. On one hand I though the book was too short, but it also seemed to be just the right size somehow. I know a lot of people had some issues with the parts of the book but I loved it, especially the epilogue. I hope Richelle Mead just keeps on writing books forever and ever.

I adore this series, I really do. Adrian and Sydney's romance just captured me, the only reason this doesn't have 5 stars is because the other books just had better storylines and action. Also I'm a sucker for the beginning of fictional relationships, when it's all angst and will they? Won't they? Which is probably why I love the earlier books so much. I love the epilogue though!

Vamos, la única manera que este libro no me gustara es que Richelle Mead hiciera alguna tontería, pero de esas tonterías épicas y todos sabemos que Richelle es para nada tonta, al contrario, es muy inteligente y astuta y... Gracias por estos libros, señora Mead, gracias.

Es difícil no hablar como la fangirl que soy, ¿cuantos años ya con ésta serie? No solo Bloodlines, sino también Vampire Academy, desde comencé a leer, hace ya unos buenos... bueno, no me quiero sentir mucho mayor de lo que soy. Al igual que Sydney y Adrian: maduré con cada libro publicado, cambié de opinión totalmente respecto a todo, al igual que Sydney con los Moroi. Acepté que tenía un problema, busque ayuda y fallé y de nuevo busque ayuda, al igual que Adrian. Así que, dime: ¿Cómo diablos me despido de estos chicos? ¿Hay alguna forma no dramática de saber que se acabó?

Ugh, ponerse sentimental es tan fácil a veces.

¿Me gustó el final? Me encantó, hay una revelación que me dejó haciendo sonido porcinos por aproximadamente dos minutos. O sea, después de once libros Y RECIÉN SE LE OCURRE MENCIONAR ESO. O SEA, RICHELLE QUE DIABLOS PENSABAS! Pero está bien, a cualquiera se le pude ir un DETALLE TAN IMPORTANTE COMO ESE. Es normal, supongo.

Y sobre la segunda bomba... ¿alguien más siente que habrá un spin-off del spin-off, eh, eh? Dime loca pero si en realidad hubiera una nueva historia (cosa que Richelle ha estado insinuando desde siempre) sinceramente no me molestaría, es de las pocas veces que siento no alargan una historia por dinero, sus libros hasta ahora han tenido una muy buena calidad así que no me preocupa ver material por solo llenar hojas. Sé, por los comentarios que leo tanto en Facebook y Twitter, que esto de que pueda haber otra serie basado en el mundo de los Moroi y Dhampir no es algo que emocione a todos los lectores de la serie, pero de verdad de verdad, quisiera que esto se cumpla.

No solo porque amaría ver de nuevos a mis chicos favoritos, sino porque algunas cosas que se sienten inconclusas en la historia. Y esa sé que será un gran punto en contra del libro, ya estoy empezando a ver varios lectores disgustados con ese aspecto. En teoría el libro tiene final, pero luego de terminar de leer te preguntas: Pero ¿qué les pasó? ¿Se enteran? ¿Dentro de veinte años todo sigue igual? En parte porque quién no quiere saber más de sus personajes favoritos y otra porque, bueno, está el detallito.

Luego de terminar de leerlo y postergar lo más que pude esta reseña (dos horas :D), sigo pensando ¿Por qué The Ruby Circle? Me refiero al nombre y entonces recordé el final. ¿Será por eso? Cuando lo termines de leer espero que me ayudes a responder esa pregunta.

Cuando crees que no puedes enamorarte más de una historia, llega Richelle Mead y te demuestra lo contrario, The Ruby Circle fue todo lo que yo quería, incluso la sensación de que cabe la posibilidad de que haya más, ¿qué puedo decir? Me gusta la serie y quisiera tener 50 años y seguir viendo a mis chicos y envejecer con ellos, sería una gran motivación.

Lamento si no explico mucho del libro pero no me gustaría por nada del mundo soltar si quiera un spoiler, aunque creo que sin querer dije algo, si lo hice perdón, no fue mi intención!

Como me gustaría que Richelle hiciera un Cassie Clare y escribiera 3 sagas más de estos personajes. No quería terminar :( extrañaré tanto a Sydney, Adrian y Jill. 
Sin dudas esperaba mucho más de este libro, se que Richelle es capaz de hacerlo, es un buen final pero le faltó ese algo para hacerlo no tan sólo genial si no maravilloso. 
Me gustó mucho el epílogo porque siento que le da más profundidad al personaje de Adrian

Para mi el mejor sigue siendo The Golden Lily, si la trama de las brujas se hubiera desarrollado mejor con la idea de ese libro hubiera sido incluso mejor, aún así esta saga tiene un lugar privilegiado en mi estantería (virtual/física)

           BUT THERE'S STILL SO MUCH I DIDN'T GET AN ANSWER TO!!!!!

Like seriously. We just spent six whole books looking for an answer to the whole "why does someone who was restored from being a Strigoi have spirit in them" and we don't even get an answer? Worse, epilogue wise, they're not even looking for an answer anymore. Like what the heck man!?!

Other than that one glaringly painful speck of information, I DID like this book.

So much of my favorite VA characters, so much Sydrian, so much Eddie. I love me some Eddie. Look, I figured out who the villain was in the middle of the last book, before they even took Jill, but the curve ball via the Warriors of Light did indeed throw me for a loop. 

I won't say I liked the way things ended because I cannot mentally handle the way things ended with Nina, Olive, and Niel. I can't. Please don't make me try. I also hated that there was so little of Jill, which was obviously understandable as she was locked in a dungeon the whole time but man, Jill is like, idk my 6th favorite character. I'm glad there was FINALLY some Jill/Eddie-ness to the whole lot.

Wait why did I like this again?

Oh yeah. I loved the action, there was plenty of breaking and entering and demon fighting and arm wrestling and that was all great. I'd have loved an account of the Strigoi attack but as neither Sydney or Adrian were there it'd be rather hard to get that view.

Also Adrian and Dimitri are cousins?!? Whaaaat? That is insane. Like completely insane. And awesome. And Hilarious.

I'm super glad that Sydney and Zoe got to make up and Zoe seems like she's got her crap together. I admire her for still wanting to be an Alchemist and feeling like she can maybe one day lead the organization on a more open minded path with less death and torture.

That epilogue. Adrian Ivashkov as a dad? Slay me now. The thought is entirely preposturious and yet, somehow, it works.

And now that I think about it, there was never an answer about if Lissa was able to pass a law about the one family member thing OR the guardian age laws. Mead, you're killing me.

But, but, they did show us part of what they were going to show the council to help make a decision on the vote, and hey, Mia. There was Mia for the first time in this series! I love me some Mia.

Look, basically I didn't get all the answers I wanted, but it was still a good book and a great series. They can't answer EVERY thing because then they don't leave themselves open to write more in the world. And I know Mead has said recently that she's currently occupied with writing other things but there's always a chance she can come back to the VA world at some point. I hope one day she does and she finally answer's the rest of my questions. 

Both the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series were just flat out amazing. I love the world so, so much and there are characters in here that I absolutely love. You can tell me stories about these guys anytime and I'd be pefectly happy about it.

I enjoyed the ending, but I honestly felt like this one was the weakest in the series. I felt really disconnected from the story, and every time I'd try to get more invested, it would jump several steps ahead and leave me constantly feeling like I was behind. I finally stopped rewinding the book so I could just finish it because I got kind of bored with the story itself. 

This was the first book in the Bloodlines series where I really could have stopped in the middle and not cared. I'm not sure what was different about it specifically, though. I liked the ending overall, but this book felt like it wasn't completely finished. 

Also, everything tied up way too easy and the "big battle" was more of a minor inconvenience compared to the other stuff Sydney and Adrian have dealt with. Especially after Silver Shadows. Just a bit flat and disappointing.

3.75, it was an okay ending but a lot of it felt like filler. Similar to other reviews, I feel like it was left kind of open ended. I'm not sure if she did it to allow for other series to be written in the universe but it wasn't my favorite. Sydney and Adrian also seemed completely different than they were, not just due to character development, but it felt like they lost themselves in their relationship.

Toda la espera por este libro valió la pena, todo estuvo genial desde el principio hasta el final. Amo que volvieran a hablar de Rose y Dimitri, que a pesar de no ser los principales, siempre serán importantes para mí y hasta mis favoritos... Aunque Adrián y Sydney igual se llevan una parte especial, amo como son y en todo el libro sentía que cada vez los amaba más.

Lo fome es que es el último libro y ya no podré leer más sobre todos los personajes que con el paso de todos los libros, lograron quedarse atrapados en la mente de todos nosotros y espero que en algún momento Richelle nos dé más relatos sobre todos estos bellos personajes...

Sin duda estuvo genial toda la historia ya que la mezcla de amor, amistad, peleas y todo fue lo que más hizo especial al libro y como siempre, todos estos libros son geniales.

Gracias a Richelle por crear estos libros que desde VA fueron especiales y lograron una historia que a pesar de ser sobre seres sobrenaturales, igual las emociones humanas igual formaron parte de toda la historia, lo cual es algo genial, ya que te entra más en la historia y como yo, puedo disfrutar más al momento de leerla.

Adrián es hermosoooo, al igual que todos los demás personajes, como Dimitri, Eddie y Neil... Amé saber de todos ellos durante el libro y no sólo que se enfocarán en los personajes principales, pero como siempre estos libros, igual se basan en la amistad y como todos se ayudaban entre sí, ya sea para pelear contra los malos o para lo otro que fue lo importante, salvar a Jill.

No me queda más que decir que el libro estuvo perfecto y ojalá en algún momento volvamos a saber que fue de todos estos maravillosos personajes :)

I wasn’t too crazy about Vampire Academy. There, I said it. I think I should’ve loved it more than I did the Bloodlines series. Because if I have to be honest, Rose is a far funnier character to read about.  But what she lacks in wit, Sydney, the ex-Alchemist, makes up with character development, plot and tension.

That is, in the first books of the series. I don’t know what the hell happened here. I was expecting The Ruby Circle to blow my mind. It wasn’t bad, but it’s a long way uphill to good.

We have Jill’s disappearance as the main issue here, but… the resolution of this problem was dull and, predictable. It almost felt like a subplot.

And what actually was the subplot? It was a pretty neat way to solve some things and I was very happy about it. It was a grand revelation that could knock the entire Moroi world upside down. Only… it didn’t’?

It had the potential of gaining a spot right in the center of the stage that was The Ruby Circle. But this play was poorly directed and that potential was wasted.

In few words: this book disappointed me.

I still loved the characters, and the ending brought me lots of fuzzy feelings, but I cannot say I really enjoyed the book.
