For a book about an active sh00ter that takes place over the course of one day, this was not fast-paced at  all . Way too long, and too many POVs - with some told in 3rd person and some in 1st person like why? Also, why the fuck is a 13 year old an active participant in an FBI level investigation??

I'm a huge fan of Lisa Gardner, and Right Behind You did not disappoint. The twists and turns in this story kept me guessing right up until the end. I especially liked how the chapters were by or about different characters. I hope we don't have to wait so long for another Quincy and Rainie story.

In general I usually enjoy Lisa Gardner's books. This one was enjoyable but not a favorite. I felt like it relied a little too heavily on the big reveal or twist. I listened to it on audio and it had two narrators for multiple characters (male and female) there wasn't a ton of change in voice so I sometimes got confused about whos perspective I was listening to.

This is a great book. Not as dark as Find Her (my first book from the author) but I enjoyed it. I haven't read any from the Quincy & Rainie series so I didn't know much about their history but it didn't felt like that. It was very interesting for me to see/know how Quincy and Rainie work together with their team. The characters are well-written and I loved all of them (especially Telly, Sharlah and even Luka). I didn't actually care about the mystery part because I was emotionally invested with the characters and their story will surely remain with me for quite a long time. There were some repetitive parts but overall, Right Behind You is a captivating and very emotional book.

*I listened to the audiobook version and it was a little awkward because the narrator's voice doesn't fit Sharlah's age, in my opinion.

I would think I had everything figured out and then there was a twist. Not an excessive amount of plot twists though. This is the only book in the series that I've read, but I enjoyed it a lot!

Tuurlijk had ik door de kleine hints door welke kant het verhaal opging. Maar Lisa kan goed schrijven. Je voelt en lijdt mee met de personages. En het verhaal word echt door de vele goede details. Je voelt door het boek heen de research die ze doet voor haar verhalen. Mijn enige minpunt was dat ik Sharlah wel erg volwassen vond voor haar 13 jaar. Maar mischien word je dat wel door het meemaken van zo een drama/ trauma.

This book took forever but it wasn’t the books fault at all. I really enjoyed it and want to read more of this family... Too bad this is the most recent. Hell, maybe I’ll go back and read from the beginning but probably not.
