A solid telling of Orellana's Amazon expedition! It has just enough introduction to build the story and a good amount of extra at the end to fill in the blanks of how the Amazon expeditions continued after Orellana. Overall, an interesting story, but I think the book could've used more descriptions of the hardships they faced while descending the river. More gruesome details of the blisters and sores all these men probably had. Still, had fun reading!
