Phenomenal on audio, full of gossip about his actor contemporaries when they were on their way up (Cruise, Swayze) amazing anecdotes and behind the scenes scoops. I wish I could give it more stars.

I listened to the audio version that is read by the author and it was really good. Very interesting! He has, as the title indicates, many good stories and has seen so much. Definitely worth a read or a listen!

Fantastic book from a true star I came across on Parks and Recreation. Amazing quotes on personal growth and detailed anecdotes makes this a rich and full read.

++ vivid, well written snapshots of Lowe's career: movies, the Sheen's family and some of his lovers. 
-- hightlights - obviously - the good times and skips the scandals and years of obscurity. not that i was really interested.

I think memoirs have a built in ceiling to how good they can be. If so, this one's pushing against the rafters. Great anecdotes weaved together to paint an honest and relatable portrait of Rob Lowe, someone I'd assume I couldn't connect with. He's funny, picks great vignettes, and doesn't feel the need to fill in the whole timeline. He's self-effacing, but also proud of what he's built. He name drops in a way that a star-struck boy would do, bringing you into the fun of his wild life when he could so easily gloat or be tone deaf. Don't get me wrong, he's no saint, but he inspires me to take risks and be honest with myself, and never lose that child like wonder and curiosity.
