This work brings together an interdisciplinary group of internationally recognized investigators in the field of cardiac SR proteins, ranging from molecular and structural biologists to clinical cardiologists and pharmacologists. It reviews the progress in the field, charts the unresolved questions, and discusses new insights related to the pathophysiology of and potential therapy for heart failure.
