I read this in 2017 for the first time while struggling with my emotions from the loss of a friendship. This book is my comfort book ever since and I contemplated a re-read for several weeks now, so that’s what I did. 

What can I say, this is one of the most beautiful, touching and deepest books I know. The story itself isn’t that spectacular or captivating but how it’s written. I’m a big big fan of R. M. Drakes poetry in general because he has that ability to exactly capture what I am feeling but am not able to voice. I felt deeply understood but also challenged to reflect and enjoyed getting lost in thought. It’s one of these books, that don’t try to fix your pain but encourage you to embrace it and feel it. It brought me sadness but also a lot of peace. I loved it the first read and loved it even more now.
