This book has been on my bookshelf for at least three years. I picked it up for the kids at the middle school book fair but the premise and initial hook always intrigued me. I was looking for a quick read while waiting for my book club book to come last week and thought, why not? I was glad I picked it up. I really enjoyed it!

I had chosen this book randomly because I felt like a change in the types of books I read. I'm not really an avid reader but this book got me hooked. It's a short read yet it is interesting and enjoyable.
It reminded me of 'Hatchet' by Gary Paulsen and I'd say that if you enjoyed that book then you will probably enjoy Peak.

i enjoyed this book wayyy more than i thought i would. peak was very mature (obvs) and i loved that he had a good relationship with his family (the peas🥲) very very entertaining, sun-jo and peak’s friendship was very pure and real, and zopa was a very good character! i imagined josh as josh duhammel and now i can’t get the image out of my head ahdjsj
