I actually felt like i was in high school again while reading this book. But mine wasn’t filled with chaos 😂😂. 

I was worried by the first page, with its lazy misogyny, but it soon became clear that this was the rites of passage story of an immature boy, posturing with his attitude to women. After a couple more pages, I warmed to the protagonist. I could hear the main character's voice and imagine the events easily, and it made me feel nostalgia for an era that existed before I was born.

I also really liked the fact that the characters made me laugh throughout the book! It was such a fun read. 

This is my second read off Ryu Murakami’s works. I love how he draws people in with his writing. And i’m definitely reading his other works.
