Samuel Palmer was a British landscape painter of the Romantic era. Hewas largely forgotten after his death. This biography was written by the painter's son, Alfred Herbert Palmer.Later on, he destroyedmany of his father's landscapes by burningthem to save them "from a more humiliating fate." The destruction included sketchbooks, notebooks and original works.
