At the request of her benefactor, the countess, Suzy agrees to tail a suspicious man, Fiorenzo Baronese, who’s been blackmailing the countess. While she’s tailing him, he’s attacked and pushed into a Venetian canal. Suzy helps pull him out and can’t bring herself to leave the shivering man alone…so she invites him home to dry off and change his clothes. And when she sees him up close, she realizes how attractive he is and her heart starts pounding, even though she knows he’s bad news!
