Anna Hunter's life was nearly perfect as she went through her senior year of college until one fateful night changed everything as she knew it. Five years later, she now lives on her grandparents' ranch outside of Asheville, NC with her son, Johnny, but remains hurt and distrustful. Despite her reservations, she slowly starts to get attached to Joel, the handsome, hard-working ranch hand who has opened her heart again to the possibility of love. As Anna starts to fall in love, she worries a past that still haunts her will interfere with what could become her greatest happiness in life.
