I had high hopes for this book, until I actually started reading it. The whole book felt contrived and unrealistic. The conversation between Becky and Felix felt awkward and fake. I never got the impression that these two characters felt as though they always knew each other, so thankfully Hale kept TELLING us this. Without that I would have been lost. 

The only saving grace through this book who's character felt real to me was Becky's husband, Mike. Without him, I would have tossed this book to the side a long time ago. Of course, as all good characters go, his fate was undeserved (oh look! A cliffhanger! Now you have to read it to see what I'm talking about!)
