Lisa moves into a spare room of a large house in London, living with a married couple, next door to a creepy lady. Soon the couple are trying to get rid of Lisa but she refuses to move. Why? And what is it about this house that is causing Lisa to seemingly start to lose her mind? Is it the house? Or is it her?

I really loved this story. About a quarter of the way through I was so mad at the character of Lisa. I did not understand her motivations. I was finding it totally unbelievable - who would stay in the house?!

But around halfway through, a light switch flicked and I realised something was going on that I hadn’t discovered yet. 

I found myself highlighting line after line after line. There were some gorgeous sentences and brilliant descriptions in this story. Oh it was so good! 

I felt creepy and full of tension throughout. I lived the story. The ending fell ever so slightly flat BUT not enough to pull down the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating throughout the rest of the book. It is a slow burn, and I did find myself getting angry at first. But it picks up and overall I loved the story!
