Every freaking time, this book gets me, every time!! I can't even list all the important events that happen here because there are so many, but it's definitely the most pivotal book of the entire series because of the lasting effects the choices here have. 

Chess and Terrible serving god-tier angst at its finest, knowing later on the slowburn was worth all the pain makes the events that happen here more bearable. Safe to the friendship they both hid behind was blown to smithereens with that major confession and all the other revelations that came from this book. I'm so excited to get to book 3 because it's my favourite!!!!!! Love for this series and its characters stays never ending!

This book just WOWWW completely blew me away, easy five stars!! DYING to know what happens next!

Chess just got a big case from the Church. She has to figure out if a famous actor is faking a haunting or not. Meanwhile, someone's killing hookers, Bump's and Slobag's. Of course they expect her to figure it out. Chess realizes that she has actual feelings for Terrible, but she might be too late in more ways than one. I loved the first book, but this one took the series to a whole new level for me. I LOVED it! I felt like my heart was being ripped out too! And again, Bahni Turpin is an amazing narrator!
