I can certainly see how this was an earlier book, the intrigue/suspense was a little on the weaker side compared to later books. The angst was still amazing, had me crying multiple times and my heart was wrenched at other points. I love me a good angst, and Sabrina Jeffries always delivers that. Was also a little frustrated with certain points and actions the heroine and hero were making. Not in terms of the plot, but actual actions that were making me say "ARE YOU KIDDING?" I won't go into details to avoid spoilers, but there were certainly a few actions that kind of had me raise an eyebrow. That's honestly all that kept me from giving this five stars though.
