Easy opens up with a very intense, graphic attempted rape scene. It definitely rattled me, and I was completely not expecting it. I’ve never been in that position, but reading that definitely put me in the state of mind and it was terrifying! Thankfully, Jacqueline is saved by a stranger that night, Lucas. But he wouldn’t stay a stranger for long. I wondered if the book would be heavier than I anticipated, but I soon got my answer. It was a very well done, emotionally balanced book. The moment Jacqueline and Lucas start to interact with one another I knew I was in for some delectable tension. Their heated stares, their quiet conversations...it was so dang sexy! Not only is Lucas hot, but he is such a good freaking person too. He’s the perfect combination of compassionate, protective, passionate, intelligent male...all wrapped in that hot exterior. I seriously melted. And his story tore the heart out of my chest and put it in a blender. So devastating!! Then there’s Landon. The super witty, flirty, intelligent Econ tutor who we, as well as Jacqueline, only get to experience through email. I seriously LOVED those parts of the book. I could have had a whole book of just emails between him and Jacqueline. And while it’s not quite a love triangle, it’s definitely an interesting and fun part of the book. I was very impressed with how Tammara Webber shows us the different situations in which girls were raped. I think she picked perfect situations where the girls might not want to come forward for fear of blame or shame but stresses that it isn’t their fault. Maybe someone out there who comes across this book will see something of themselves in one of those stories and will get something positive from it. At least, that’s my hope. Also, high five for giving Jacqueline such an incredible best friend. I was really hoping that it wouldn’t turn out to be one of those situations where the BFF turns their back on them only to realize later she was wrong to do so. Nope, this best friend stuck with her and stood up for her and I loved it, because I believe that girlfriends who do this are a more realistic portrayal. Maybe more so in a college environment than a high school one, but loyal best friends do exist moreso than the ones that stab you in the back. I had very high expectations of this book. Lots of my favorite bookish people looooove it. If this is the case for you, you have no idea how dead-on everyone is. Expectations exceeded! I can guarantee Easy is a book that will take hold of you from the first page and won’t let you go until the last. I, myself, read it in one sitting. Don’t miss it!!

Ugh, this was pretty awful. Like a cross between a Harlequin Romance novel and an After School Special. The writing is shifty and awkward and the characters and situations are a little unrealistic and underdeveloped. Meh. January 2 stars continues!

Enjoyable story and the plot kept me interested. 
Lucas was a guy you couldn't help love. Artistic, coffee man, smart, etc.
Both characters deal with issues. Her's are more current and shared with another, his are from his past that he still blames himself for.

 I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!  

It was  so easy  to devour, get lost, and fall in love with every single word on that page. 

And Lucas....

This is about a college girl named Jacqueline (internally cheers because OMG ITS MY NAME IN A BOOK) who just had her boyfriend of three years break up with her and decides to go to a Halloween party with her friends. As she's leaving the party, she gets attacked and then rescued by Lucas  *fans self*  They begin to grow closer...and that's all I'm going to tell you! It's so much more fun just to go in blind and read it! 

  "The night we met- I'm not like that guy." His jaw was rigid.
"I know tha-" He placed a finger over my lips, his expression softening.
"So I don't want you to feel pressured. Or overpowered. But I do, absolutely want to kiss you right now. Badly."   

I loved, loved the romance of the college setting! How he would sit in the back and sketch her, and how she would try not to look over her shoulder at him. So sweet! He was like in love with her before he met her and ahhhh it was adorable! 

  As for being somewhere you're not supposed to be--Maybe you're here for a reason, or there is no reason.   

Jacqueline was so strong! I loved how she didn't let what happened to her get in the way of her overall happiness and how she slowly started to tell people about it. Obviously she should have gone to the police right away but in that moment, in the state of shock, she was so scared that I felt for her so deeply. I loved the way that serious issue was talked about in this book. It was raw and real and horrifying but handled perfectly. And I loved when she told Erin and the two of them started taking self-defense classes! I really enjoyed those interactions and this whole story makes you want to take self-defense classes and be just as strong as Jacqueline! 

  Apologies could come too late.  

And in the midst of dealing with the post trauma from that night, she is also dealing with the repercussions of a break up from her boyfriend of 3 years! 

  Time would not change what I was feeling-or not feeling. I'd had time and though the ache from his desertion hadn't disappeared, it was decreasing. My future was blurry, yes, but I was beginning to imagine a future when I would no longer miss him at all.   

There was definitely a sense of empowerment from this book, both from Lucas and Jacqueline. It's clear that Lucas is also trying to overcome a heart breaking past and I loved seeing them be there for one another and come together...

  As he leaned over me, I felt heightened awareness of every part of my body that touched a part of his--the edge of his hip pressed to mine, his chest sliding against mine, his fingers tracing from wrists to forearms and then framing my face. He held me in place, lips near my ear. When he kissed the sensitive spot, my breath shuddered. "You're so beautiful," he whispered, moving his mouth to mine.   

*clutches heart* 

 THE ROMANCE.  

LUCAS! He's so mysterious, so hot, and so fantastic to read! Ahh I fell completely in love with him! He's sweet, sexy, and smart. What more could a girl want? I loved how he was so protective over Jacqueline and yes there was some back and forth but then you get to end and all of it just clicks and then your heart breaks all over again. 

  He brushed my tears from my face. 
"How did I find you?"   

Overall, this book was highly addicting, emotional, beautiful, heart pounding and so wonderful to read. The writing was fantastic, the characters were real, and it was such a joy to read. I can't recommend this book enough. All I feel when I want to talk about is just  GUSH  and squeals because ahhhhh LUCAS AND JACQUELINE! I loved every single aspect of this book and highly recommend! Especially if you're looking to get into New Adult, this is a good one to start with! So much love!!

I started reading this book today after seeing it on pinterest and couldn't put it down. It is now close to 2 in the morning and I am still up because I just finished it. I adored this book-it was interesting, sad and romantic.
What I liked about it:
The story had a really nice flow and kept me interested. 
The author has a beautiful way with words. 
The main character had a great voice and I loved that she wasn't some weak girl who had to be saved-she turned into a strong young woman. 
and...
I'm basically in love with Lucas. ;)

Easy was such a good book. I liked that it dealt with sexual assault and a girl becoming a survivor and not just a victim. 

I also really enjoyed Lucas and his help with J. It was a very good book that I'm glad I decided to read.

Un libro muy fácil de leer y al que en realidad le doy 3.75 estrellas pero a la vez recomendaría leer a todos. 
Los personajes me gustaron mucho y me gustó bastante la línea en la que iba la historia, pero hubo un momento en que las cosas empezaron a suceder muy rápido y el final fue algo inconcluso. Me gustaría que hubiera tenido un poco mas de desarrollo en vez de tirarnos todo en la cara. 
Los personajes femeninos no eran para nada irritantes como últimamente hacen que sean, de hecho AME el grupo de amigas que sale aquí, no las conocemos mucho pero sabemos que se apoyan unas a otras. Me gusto mucho como la autora escribió eso, creo que necesitamos mas historias así en la literatura juvenil. 
Lucas me gustó mucho porque no era el chico malo, de hecho era muy bueno a pesar de tener un pasado "oscuro" 

Pero la razón por la que quizás le daría 5 estrellas a este libro es lamentablemente un SPOILER así que aquí va ....

Amé que la autora retratará un tema tan polémico como la violación Y la tomara como ES. Culpa de quien lo hace y no de la víctima. Puso en escena todo lo que pasa cuando esto sucede, como algunos quieren esconderlo, como otros no creen que ocurrió , como la víctima es a quien se culpa. 
Me gusto mucho como las chicas del libro se apoyaron en este tema y finalmente lo denunciaron 
Si solo fuera por esto, repito le daría 5 estrellas al libro, necesitamos mas libros así.

I enjoyed this book. but I always enjoy my books, I'm one of those people that stops reading if they find a book to be more of a chore than anything else. but I did enjoy this. The story draws you in and honestly the romance was amazing, but that wasn't the only thing that kept me reading. I kept reading because I honestly cared what happened to Jaquilene after the attack.

I think the entire subject of rape was approached sensitively and helped to promote the right ideas against rape. It didn't ever make it seem like the victim was at fault yet still gave a realistic idea of what many rape victims face with the perception currently held with rape. I liked that many of the often used arguments such as you have slept with them before and that you're not virgin are not a legitimate reason for it happening. I also liked that right at the start what Jaquilenr stated it wasn't her fault because she was walking alone in sparking lot because the idea that the victim should be the one to take preventative measures when really more should be done to show rape is wrong and that it isn't the people you don't know who are the attackers. but enough of my preaching about rape, what else did I love?

I loved the friendship with Erin. a good friendship makes a book for mW and this was a classic. I love how Erin took nothing from no one and had good ideas such as self defense class and always speaking up.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a book that approaches issues well and wants a book that gas good well developed characters because this is it.

I really enjoyed this book although I would give it more of a 4.5 stars because I did find some problems that won't allow me to give it a full five star rating. The characters were pretty solid. Overall I understood why Jacqueline did what she did but sometimes I just wanted to slap her. The writing was good it was easy to get through and read. I had some issues about the love triangle; clearly it was no longer a triangle but Kennedy still kept showing up. I also feel like we didn't get enough of how she felt about her previous relationship to even understand why she would feel so "depressed".

It all starts one night in a darkened parking lot behind a frat house. Jacqueline is accosted by a drunk aquaintance (Buck) who does not understand the word "no". Thank goodness for the super hot stranger that witnesses the entire attack and beats the living crap out of the assailant! While the stranger suggests he should call the police, Jacqueline refuses. She's embarrased and doesn't want to cause a seen for the entire frathouse to view. Bad choice Jacqueline.

After that night, Jaqueline seems to run into this stranger everywhere. Eventually we learn the name of this stranger, Lucas, and slowly yet awkwardly they start to become closer. Lucas has many dark secrets, from the tatooed symbols and words across his body, to the jagged scars hidden by tats on his wrists. He is the tortured hottie.

Here is my problem with Lucas though.....a beanie, jeans, cowboy boots, leather jacket, harley, lip piercing, tats, shoulder length hair....it just didn't work for me. His description didn't evoke any heart palpitations or giddy smiles....so I just had to tweak a few details in my head and voila! 

Ok, back to the story.......So Jaqueline continues through the semester dealing with Buck's unwanted advances. Her roomate Erin signs them up for a self defence class to teach them how to escape an attack and not feel helpless. Guess who one of the instructors is???? Yep you guessed it....Lucas. 

It isn't until Buck actually rapes another student that Jaqueline decides to go to the police. Lucas has given her the courage to realize that this was not her fault. She never asked for it. And Buck should NOT get away with it. 

Finally we learn about the demons that haunt Lucas.

I applaud the author for writing about such an important subject. What I found distubing though, was how Jacqueline seemed more depressed, missed more classes after breaking up with her long time boyfriend Kennedy than she did after almost being RAPED. 

This book wasn't action packed, but the plot moved along at an even pace and held my interest well enough.

Strange....But that was one of the best books I read this year. The story was simple yet cute and, if I dare to say, realistic. And, thank you God, no love triangles. Thank you, Santa, for this amazing book :D

I adore these characters and I love Tammara Webber's books. There's really not much else to say. :)

This was great. I read the book in about two hours since I just couldn't stop reading. 

About the plot: Even though it wasn't filled with romance all the time, it was so exciting. I've always liked drama, and this book were drama itself. It had everything: college, a mean guy, an ex boyfriend and the nice, mysterious guy. That's like the recipe to a great book.

The main character, Jackqueline: I liked the fact that she wasn't really popular, and she wasn't a sassy cheerleadergirl. She was the naive, sweet girl who thought her relationship to Kennedy would last forever. In the middle of her heartace after their breakup on the last year of college, she meets Lucas.

About Lucas: He was the quiet guy on the back row of the classroom. Jackie had never seen him before that night. The night everything went wrong. She almost got raped, but all of a sudden Lucas showes up, and rescue her. She had never seen him before, even though they do economic class together, but after that night, she keeps seeing him everywhere, and she learns that he also have his own secrets. Secrets even her can't know.

Yeah. You should read this book.

4.5 stars!

Again, another book I should have read much sooner than I did. It was fabulous!! I had it sitting patiently on my TBR pile... but when Audible had a sale I just had to grab it! I'm so happy I did. Though some of the story may have been rather obvious and easy to predict, it was still absolutely enjoyable and I honestly loved it.

This is definitely much more of a gritty romance. Easy focuses on sensitive topics, which many may have trouble stomaching. This story begins with a horribly tragic sexual assault attempt made on Jacqueline. She is saved by an unidentified stranger, one she's never seen before, but is so thankful appeared when he did. When I first started listening I was shocked at what was happening. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to handle the story emotionally. But I was immediately drawn in and eager to see how everything would play out.

Now for the narrator... I wasn't a fan. I'm always hesitant when getting an audio versus reading the physical book because I really put a lot of weight on the narrator. At first listen I wasn't sure I was going to like the audio one bit. Tara Sands' voice just didn't seem right. She came off as sounding much older than a college student and just didn't quite fit the Jacqueline that I had pictured in my head. After listening for a bit I did grow to accept her as a narrator, but she definitely wasn't a favorite of mine.

Having said all of that, I wavered a bit between 4 stars and 5 stars. The narrator is a huge part of my rating of an audio. So for that reason, I can't really give it 5 stars. If I was strictly rating the story by itself, 5 stars would have seemed right. So I'm going to meet halfway and go with 4.5 stars. I really don't have any complaints about the story at all. Though it is gritty and tough to stomach, Webber did an amazing job of touching on such sensitive topics so beautifully. If you like grittier romances, and you don't mind the more sensitive subject matter, you should definitely give this book a try.

The message in the story was delivered exceptionally. I loved both protagonists, they complement each other really well and that made the story seem stronger and more effective. I look forward to more of Webber's books!
