I think that I went into this book with too many expectations for what the ending would be and that may be what ended up making it less exciting for me. I definitely wasn’t expecting the ending but it seemed a bit off to me. With that said I still enjoyed reading this because thrillers are fun to begin with.

This book!  *BRAIN EXPLODES*  Y'all there was SO MUCH going on here! I was so angry with the main character and her life decisions and I was continuously yelling at her to stop being a moron and then the middle of the book completely flipped a 180 and everything changed and OMG.

I just... are there even words? I almost felt like I read two different books.

The first half was all about Thursday and her polygamist style marriage with her husband and his two other wives known as Monday and Friday (or some other day of the week, I can't remember). And about how she got into the relationship and how she feels about it and maybe there's some jealousy and maybe her husband's not everything she thought he was.

The second half is a full-blown psychological thriller with an unreliable narrator and a plot that was giving me continuous whiplash in the best way possible. AND THE ENDING. Just when you think everything is slowing down, that last paragraph rocks your world. 

Did I like the characters? I'm not even sure I know who they were anymore. So sure, why not? Was the plot great? YES. I loved the pacing and the writing style and why have I not read Tarryn's writing before?

Meh. I am disappointed. As quickly as I read this and as hooked as I was with everything that happened, I just felt liked I'd read something like this already. Even the ending, I didn't feel satisfied by it. If you are barely starting to get into thrillers, this one would be perfect. I think I've just read so many that this was just a mixture of all the books I've read before. It was alright but not great.

           The first half was amazing and intriguing. Then it went downhill. It was fun having an unreliable narrator, but that’s all I ended up liking about the book.

This book is kind of hard to rate. I liked the writing, this was my first book from Tarryn Fisher but it was kind of a lot. I feel like it took a while for the ball to drop and then it just rolled and rolled. Honestly it took me way too long to realize that her name was actually Thursday and not just a nickname from her "Husband". I am still a little confused as to how this even really ended... I stayed up late to finish this because I needed it to be done and I was left overthinking it. I didn't hate it, it was an interesting read but it was a little to all over the place for me. I definitely want to read Tarryn's new book and give that a shot!
