It started off excitingly, like Homeland (TV series) in a book. Some CIA secret agent sent to Iran to unveil some terrorist plan. I loved it. But it’s getting absurd by the minute. Halfway across the book left me wondering, and two-third of the book made me “what the duck just happened?”

Nope, you can’t mix genres like that imho. In a rare situation maybe (Harry Potter is Mallory Towers x LOTR?) but this one is a no go. I can’t reveal it without giving spoiler as well. This book is also massive. 660 pages, it was a breeze to start but headache to finish.
