this book kept me on edge every single time. if there’s something i love ITS MYSTERY THRILLERS. i loved the characters and i really loved the sibling relationship of taylor and jude. IT GAVE EVERYTHING THAT NEEDED TO BE GAVE???? GIVEN!?!? you get it. read it now omygod i love it and them sm.

this book actually had potential to be a fun mix between a romance and a murder mystery, until the plot disappeared completely and chapter after chapter was about a man who literally can’t keep it in his pants. i wanted to like it but i finished reading it out of spite.

This book was extremely insta love-y, meaning they fall in love in a span of a week, but it was so cute that I ate it up. If you are looking for a short and funny read for a beach, this book is what you want.

this book took me a while to finish, but it was so good. myles was so cute istg and taylor was such a cute baddie ugh. also everything that came out of jude’s and kevin’s mouth had me CACKLING.

Tessa kills it once again!!! I will be honest, at first I thought I wasn't going to like it but the more I read the more I liked it 😩 And I kind of see myself in Taylor with whole mindset about what kind of vibes you're giving off to potential lover *sighs* where's a hot bounty hunter when you need one

A bit tacky but cute quick read overall. Not horrible but this book wasn’t for me. It was a bit cringe, a bit over the top, a bit immature for me. The ending was sweet though and I liked the main murder mystery at the plots center. 2/5 stars, wouldn’t really recommend though.

I. LOVED. THIS. BOOK. 🌶️ scenes were awsome. i absolutely adored the love story with the whole grumpy x sunshine love duo. Story was so interesting with the whole murder plot situation going on. Would read again!!!

My first romantic suspense and I think it may be my new thing! I loved the collaboration of my two favorite book genres. Crime and passion? Mhmm, I’ll have more please.

I will say this is not some serious suspenseful novel where you are trying to figure out whodunit and all the ins and outs. This is more of a life hearted crime story with more passion than anything. Easy read you’ll want to binge because the chemistry between these two characters, Taylor and Myles, is explosive.

I absolutely adored Taylor’s brother, Jude, and all his comedic relief. Just when things were getting too serious here comes Jude to get a laugh. 

Overall, lover of true crime and can take this for an unrealistic adventure of a bounty hunter fueled by passion and a past he’s trying to forget? This is for you.

I’m gonna say 4.5 stars! I really enjoyed it…cute story, a lot of 🌶…however it’s insta love in a span of only 5 days. I think if it was more of a slow burn, it’d get 5 stars for sure

Idk. It’s good? It’s cute? But i had? Higher hopes? It was…i don’t have words honestly. Nerdy but sexy teacher meets “touch her and you die!” But she isn’t that nerdy? She’s scandalous?? 

And then it’s over a murder they’re vacationing in the area of???????

Perfect hot and heavy beach read with a little murder mystery story line. I couldn’t put it down and now I’m wondering where in the world I’m going to find another book like it.

Personally i felt the conection between them really rushed and there were moments were the feelings didn't felt real cause it all happened in a matter of a week and sudendly he changed his personality and his life style just so that it would fit with what she wanted in a relashionship. I think that if they'd had more time getting to know each other as friends and not boyfriend & girlfriend it could've been better but overall it was good.

soooo this made me realize how much I hate insta love. it was tough to get through for me, all taylor and myles seemed to talk about was sex. rough sex. and don’t get me wrong, tessa bailey writes sex so well but damn she was a horny bitch in this book. the amount of encounters they had where they didn’t fuck, edged me too. I also didn’t feel like any of the romance or sex really pushed the plot forward, when it came to the murder. the murder almost felt, random. and the fact everything took place over 5 days was whack for me. I just was not a fan of this book, which is a shame cause I love tessa bailey. myles’ personality was also cringy, too overly aggressive. the whole protective thing was annoying, rather than sexy. also him stealing her red panties then obsessively carrying them in his pocket for like 2 days? gross. idk, this just wasn’t really my kinda book

This was a short and sweet read. At times I did forget they were trying to solve a murder because it gets caught up in the list development. I thought the murder was an interesting aspect and unexpected from Tessa Bailey and she did a good job of creating a unique case with a twist. This really followed the grumpy v sunshine trope and it thought it was cute and the character development between the two characters. It was tough at the beginning because there was a lot of wondering when things will finally happen because the times just never lined up for them. I loved the book, but my god there was a lot of spice. And I was shocked with how much due to how short the book is. 5/5 spicy and a good read overall. I was engaged instantly

Tessa Bailey is truly the queen of romance novels. This was perfectly funny, banter-filled, and spicy! It had such a fun time trying to solve the mystery alongside the characters while also following their love story. I do enjoy the Bellinger Sister duology more, so I couldn’t rate it as high, but still enjoyable and definitely worth the read!

There were a lot of things I liked about this. Firstly, the use of the grumpy/sunshine trope was perfection. I couldn't stop laughing at the banter between Taylor and Myles. Secondly, the chemistry between them was off the charts. Bailey never disappoints when it comes to the relationship between her characters, and this one was no exception. It did feel insta-lovey, but I didn't mind so much. Thirdly, I loved the setting. I enjoyed the idea of this murder mystery unfolding in this beachside vacation town. That said, there were also many things I didn't like. I thought the dynamic between Taylor and her brother was weird and didn't love how she treated him like a child when he was a grown man. Even though I liked her relationship with Myles, there were times I found him way too overprotective to the point where it was like, "Me, Tarzan. You, Jane." Bailey also beats into the ground how much bigger Myles is than Taylor. We get it, he's very tall, and she's very short (though it led to a cute nickname.) I also didn't understand the timeline. It seemed like so much was happening it should've taken longer than five days. Overall, I liked it and thought it felt like a steamier Lifetime movie, but it wasn't my favorite of hers.
