I was looking through my bookshelf to get rid of some books the other day and I came across this book. My fourth grade teacher gave me our classroom copy when I was younger and I remember trying to finish my homework as quickly as I could and then hiding behind the shelves in our classroom so that I could read this book while everyone else was still working on their classwork. 

It even still has the check-out card in it that I used when I was younger. 

I miss adventures with Soren.

Watership Down for birders. 

I’m surprised this was developed into a screenplay; it can get a little impenetrable when goes into detail about bird biology, scientific species names, and flight terminology. It’s an interesting concept, but I’m not sticking around for *fourteen*(!) more books without something stronger to hold onto.
