The Dominant is technically not a continuation of the series, but is the male POV of Book one " The Submissive" and I do wish that I had known that before reading book one as I would have read them together and I know that I would have enjoyed them way more. I am not a fan of two books being different POV unless I know beforehand and can read them side by side, but separately, it just doesn't do that much for me (this is just my personal preference, so if you love it when authors do this that bravo, I wish I could). I did find that there are much more details described in this book than in book one and I did enjoy seeing the mystery behind the hero, but after the ending of " The Submissive" I just wanted to continue with their story and not feel like I was doing a male version of a re read haha. So while I appreciate what the author delivered, I just wasn't in the correct mindset to enjoy it like I wanted or needed.

In book 1, The Submissive, it was through Abby's eyes. Now book 2, we get to hear from Nathaniel. 

I didn't really know what to expect since I had just read book 1 ... did I really need to hear what Nathaniel was thinking? 

Yeah, I did. It helped give more of a back story on Nathaniel and why he did what he did. His heart break over his parents. Where did he go when he dissappeared from the house. The ribbing from his family. 

The Dominant was a book of enlightenment, LOL. We finally found out what went down in the hospital! Admit it, you were curious, too?!

In The Submissive we learned Abby knew what she wanted and how she went for it. In The Dominant we learned that Nathaniel is alpha hear him roar but he second guesses himself or that he has doubts ... there is an air un-assuredness. A little boy within the man that is irresistible. 

I enjoyed reading from both POV. Next up The Training!

There are two sides to every story. In this trilogies case, there are two steamy sides to every story: Tara Sue Me takes things up a notch from the already scorching hot BDSM novel The Submissive, which is the first in a planned trilogy and originally published online; tuning readers into the thoughts of the ever mysterious Nathaniel West and his romance with Abigail “Abby” King.

I have had a long time attachment to her story and am more than satisfied with how fun they are to read. So while it isn’t typical for me to enjoy retellings of a novel from another POV, I was thoroughly excited for this new take–it really and completely works with The Dominant.

It pulls us in the direction of an already familiar story but a fresh, new spin on it–it’s just what the story needed. Although the previous POV is a delight, The Dominant fills in the gaps for us and reminds us that there are two sides to every story. We walk away with a better understand of Mr. West, just as we walked away with awareness on who Abby is in act one.
