I breezed through this one in a couple hours. This book was kind of cute, but I didn't love the writing and it was too standard. I wasn't really a fan of it. Too clichéd and middle school for my taste. Boybands and all that. It's too imaginary. I bet this overused storyline has never actually happened like this. 

It was a Wattpad fanfic turned into a published novel, which made sense once I realized. I do appreciate how young the author was and I applaud her for her efforts at such a young age. When viewed in that light, I am impressed but still not a fan, unfortunately.

I have to say I was totally turned off from this book during a scene where he made her food only to sneeze (covering his face with his hands) and then continue to eat the food that they were sharing. And THEN he fed it TO her. 
......
CRINGE.
I can't get past that. I'm sorry; I just can't.

A ver, no sé por donde empezar porque este libro logró sacarme de quicio. Primero que nada, lo sentí como un fanfic mega cliché de Wattpad (porque hay fanfics muy buenos, no les quitemos mérito). Es poco creíble y absurdo. Desde el primer momento en que se conocen, y ella no reconoce a Oliver Perry, que resulta ser el cantante principal de la boyband más famosa del mundo y que además ¡es la favorita de su hermana! Prácticamente Cara —la gemela—, se la pasaba respirando por esos chicos. Leía artículos de revistas, veía programas de tv sobre ellos... es que su cara tenía que haberte sonado de algo Stella, por Dios. Además, ese primer encuentro fue demasiado insta love, no puedo.

Uno de los principales motivos por el que no he disfrutado nada este libro, es por el hecho de que está narrado por Stella, y ella es la persona más inmadura que he conocido en mi vida (okay, exagero). No me gustan las personas que juzgan a otros por sus gustos (en este caso musicales) y que se creen mejores que los demás por el simple hecho de gustar de cosas "diferentes". Las odio. Porque no puedes ir por allí diciéndole a las personas que la música que escuchan es basura, aunque lo creas, mantén tu opinión para ti porque puede que para esa persona signifique algo. Y esta chica no los conocía de nada y decidió insultarlos por ser una banda cuya música era horrible y les insinuó que lo que ella escuchaba era verdadera música. Argh! Lo siento, pero este tema me pone de los nervios. Nadie es mejor que nadie solo por no seguir una moda o porque no comparten una opinión. Dejen a las personas vivir su vida en paz, todos somos libres.

No y claro, la tipa se siente mejor que las demás por no haber visto The Notebook (que yo tampoco la he visto y no siento que cambie nada) y porque sus películas favoritas no son las típicas comedias románticas que todas las adolescentes elegirían. ¿Por qué sentirte orgullosa por eso?

Otra cosa, cuando se da cuenta quién es Oliver, ella prácticamente se pone a gritarle y a quejarse de que él no le haya dicho quién era (que si ella no fuese tan despistada lo sabría, btw) porque claro, él tiene que andar pregonando por ahí quién es porque no quiere guardar su identidad ni nada de eso, es obvio. Y esa actitud suya de "todas las desgracias me pasan a mí", just no.

El tipo no se queda atrás, ¿qué clase de diva imbécil es? Es un niño inmaduro también (van a resultar el uno para el otro al final). Siento que ni siquiera está definida su personalidad porque a veces quiere dárselas del misterioso, y otras del bromista, pasando por el dulce, claro. Las bromitas que se tenía con los integrantes de su banda me fastidiaban mucho, y su ego tampoco ayudaba nada. Aparte el tipo era una caja de sorpresas... ¡Incluso era un gran cocinero! Wtf? Tenía todas las cualidades habidas y por haber, sólo se te tenía que ocurrir una y era seguro que la tenía. Perdón pero no. 

Es la típica idealización de una persona famosa adolescente. Y no me parece que esté mal idealizar un poco, es divertido y hasta bonito, pero no podemos perder el sentido de la realidad, por Dios. Nadie es tan perfecto.

La manía de Stella de victimizarse me molestaba. Porque, aunque ella no lo diga e incluso intente negarlo, ella culpa de todo a la enfermedad de su hermana. Eso de "ay mi sueño es estudiar fotografía pero la enfermedad de Cara no me deja abandonarla" no me lo he creído para nada. Se sentía más como si estuviese asustada de tomar una decisión (lo que es perfectamente normal) y se refugiara en esa excusa. Su hermano había pasado exactamente por lo mismo y no dejó que eso lo alejara de sus sueños. Su propia hermana le pedía que no la usara de excusa... y por cierto, ahora que lo pienso, los padres parecían muebles, medio se les menciona un par de veces, pero no tienen mayores intervenciones, wtf?

Lo siento por mi reseña tan hater, de verdad lo siento. Pero estuve días con este libro, y si no hubiese sido por la maratón de lectura que me hice, lo hubiese abandonado porque no lo estaba disfrutando para nada. Pero también quiero aclarar que esto es solo mi opinión, y al fin y al cabo es subjetiva, no pretendo ofender a nadie. Si te gusta este libro está bien. Solo no es my cup of tea.

THIS BOOK WAS SO CUTE. OKAY. LIKE WOW. I loved it so much. I finished it so quickly mainly because every time I wasn't actually reading it, that's all I ever wanted to be doing. It was the cutest quick read and like I loved Oliver, Xander, Alec and JJ and then Stella was wonderful and I really liked this book overall.

This was so fun! Such a cute and awesome storyline. If this ever becomes a movie, believe me, I will be the first person there. It was fun and fast paced. I loved the characters. Stella and her siblings were awesome. Oliver, Xander, JJ, and Alec were amazing. They were so funny. I love their relationship as a band and as friends. The photography aspect was cool. I love a good double meeting.

To be honest, I picked this book up at Target because of the cover. 
I know!! Worst bookworm ever, right? Anyways, then I read the summery, and I really did end up loving the plot and such. It was a really good story, but some of the parts could be rewritten to make them a little bit better, I think. The Heartbreakers was a very fast-paced book, which was nice for a change. (Usually the books I read take forever to get to the point!!) 
I would recommend this book if you like a sweet romance story, this one will keep you entertained!!
