The Job

I love this series, and the writing style of Janet Evanovich. Her books are the only ones which can physically make me laugh out loud (I died at the scene in the lab) while also being action packed and romantic. Everyone should read this!

I finished this two days ago, but haven't been able to post my review. My drawbacks with this series I have voiced on the previous 2 books, but this is the first that didn't feel like an episode of White Collar. It feels like the series is finally finding its legs and getting ready to run far and fast. Which makes me happy! Although, if it's okay with everyone, I will continue to picture Matt Bomer as I read it. After all, a girls got to have standards!

Seriously, this series continues to be insanely enjoyable. It's just cheesy, over the top, laugh out loud fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously and is utterly charming along the way.

In this book Nick is being framed for some shoddy thefts and Kate would like to know why. Once they discover who it is and why they're trying to get Nick's attention they end up doing another con on a supreme bad guy with a sweet tooth and they get to dig for buried treasure while they're at it. It's storylines like that which have me coming back every time.

The thing which really makes these books is the relationship between Nick and Kate. They bounce off one another with their sharp banter. They both trust and distrust one another in equal measure and he whole time they have this chemistry which has me hoping they overcome the whole FBI/criminal dilemma.

The other great part is Kate's dad Jake. I love that man and his ability to kill someone with a packed lunch. His obsession with always having deadly weapons like grenade launchers to hand helps as well.

I would recommend this series to fans of White Collar and those who thought RED was an awesome and hilarious Bruce Willis film. This is definitely a combination of the two.
