The third book in The Land of Stories is probably my favourite book in the series that I've read so far. The plot is absolutely amazing! Having a history element being pulled into a fairytale book brought a few of my favourite things together to make one fantastic read. 
The ending of this book pulled on my heartstrings just a little bit, and by that, I mean I cried just a tad. 
Overall I've really enjoyed this series so far, and I can't wait to read the next book!

I think that the only reason that I've given it 4 stars and not 3 is because this has a big sentimental place with me in terms of it being a book that resonates with me when I first started reading a lot, but it isn't something that I think particularly suits me, especially because the characters are pretty unrelatable with what they say. The main characters, Alex and Conner are both 14 years old, pretty close to my age. However, the things that they do seem to be way too courageous than what would be relatable for their age, and the way that the present themselves as humans such as how they talk seems to be too childish for their age. But overall, this book is a very fun read, even though I had to put the book down for a couple seconds sometimes because the characters and their actions were a bit too cringy for me, I wouldn't tell you to not read it, especially if you just want to finish the series like I do.

This was so good. By far my favorite in the Land of Stories series, even though they are all 5 stars!! I loved this so much. It left on a cliffhanger so I am a mess now. But, I really enjoyed this and I highly recommend the series.

This series is too adorable - everything is magical and everything makes sense. Chris has given character and depth to classic fairy tale characters that are too often ignored - like Little Bo Peep. I loved that Red was challenged for her crown, and lost it too! In a democratic election no less. This proves that fairy tales can be used to teach any lesson and make any concept easy to learn. I liked the addition of Bree, and look forward to seeing more of her in the next books. While the concept of two 13 year olds abandoning their school tour and gallivanting through Europe is completely far-fetched, it was something I always wanted to do so I let it slide ;). While I'm sad that their grandmother is gone, I'm super excited to see Alex as the Fairy Godmother. I could tell Rook wasn't going to turn out well from the beginning, but I'm glad Alex had some fun, at least for a little bit. That twist at the end though - I almost immediately went out and bought the next book! I like to take breaks between books in a series but that was certainly unexpected and left me grabbing for more. So far, this book has a higher rating for me than the first two, because I enjoy seeing the growth of the twins, especially as they are separated and becoming their own person apart. I will always support Chris Colfer and his writing, no matter how old I get. Consider me excited for the next books!
