I, quite frankly, had a few quarrels about this book. I found Ananna quite annoying at some points. She was always whining and super self-conscious. Enough is enough! Pull it together! I was mentally (a sometimes verbally) screaming at her to man up. Maybe I'm heartless. Other than that, I enjoyed this novel and would recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy like this girl.

To be honest, this series (The Assassin's Curse series) has been one the best series I have read in quite some time. And this second book did not let me down.

Although I must warn that even though it was made for young adults, there is some language and love making scenes. The scenes aren't very descriptive, but any person could tell hat was going on.

That did not lessen my love for this book/series, so if you can handle that kind of stuff then I would highly recommend this series.

10 out of 10 would definitely recommend! :D

Awww, this is a good ending to a good story. I'm glad it wasn't a 100% happy ending, but overall it was just satisfying and cheerful which is just what I needed. The characters are great, though I have some issues with Marjani & how her actions/intentions aren't really made clear throughout this second book. Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention to her parts of the story. 

Either way, I enjoyed this story a LOT. Books that put a smile on my face are always A+.

Last year I read The Assassin's Curse and it was so good! Once this book was out, I knew I had to pick it up immediately. The Pirate's Wish was a lot better than the first book. The romance, plot, and characters were all thoughtfully planned out and brought to a nice conclusion in the end.

The romance is something you don't often see in YA. It wasn't insta-love and it was developed slowly like a real relationship. At first, Ananna and Naji didn't even like each other. Then they became friends and then a couple. I found it really sweet and cute. It wasn't all about sex; it was about the relationship and friendship between the two of them and the support they provided for each other.

The plot also took a whole turn! There was a lot more action and curse-solving in the Pirate's Wish. The Assassin's Curse was used to set the whole story up and provided a bit of back story. The whole curse-solving thing was completed in this novel! The three impossible tasks weren't so impossible after all! You just gotta open yourself up the all the possibilities (just totally quoted Avatar the Last Airbender right there).

With a dead wizard, minotaurs, assassins, pirates, and talking sharks, what more could you ask for? I couldn't put this book down and this one is definitely a recommendation and a must-read!

It was right. I mean the whole book was right and not annoying one bit. The ending was, well, half-satisfying, but it still was pretty good and I guess you couldn't have a better one. Although the resolution of the curse was quite easy.
But again, read a book pretty much in one day.
I loved Naji, though I think he got a little bit too soft by the end of the book. A love does that to a man, I suppose. (view spoiler)[But it's just that he was so tough on her, and then suddenly all those kisses and hand-holdings. That transition was too sharp. Although if you think about it, this is how real relationships work most of the time. (hide spoiler)]
Ananna stayed her true self throughout the whole dualogy and I really appreciated that. 
Their adventure was epic and interesting and I really enjoyed them. And all the characters were lovable in their own way.
But I feel sorry for not knowing more about the world, those novels are more character-built. Also that about the Mists, what happened? Never explained that part.

But it's still a strong, fun read. And a very fast-paced one.

It was ok. I liked the beginning much more than the ending. It seemed very rushed towards the end, and predictable, and weird. I'm very glad it's not a trilogy because I don't think I'd enjoy reading a third book with these characters. They all went downhill to me...like their growth went backwards. I don't know...just another book to cross off the list.

I just love love love Naji! And although the author's choice of grammer for Ananna's way of speaking pissed me off, I loved this book. I think there is a third book and I can't wait to see what happens now that the curse is lifted....I'll have to admit that I am a little scared that the Naji won't be in the next book as much, but I can't wait to get started on the next book!

I still don't like the issue with beautiful people, but to an extent, I think I get it, so I won't make a fuss about it. After all, not everything about a character has to be likeable. It makes him/her more real that way.
