I liked it better than Boxers & Saints but I feel my kids don't have enough background to really understand what is going on with the Tongs and the political aspects of Chinatown. The superhero part was interesting.

This story is so fun, with a mix of the elements that make campy superhero stories such favorites for comic book and graphic novel readers. But what really takes it over the top for me is the inclusion of The Green Turtle's origin in the Golden Era of comics and the speculation that America might have had its first Asian American superhero in 1944. Gene Luen Yang and Sonny Liew reimagine this little-known story with heart and wit and action. I'm so glad to have read it!
