*Update* The confusion I noted below achieved resolution with a slightly slower-paced reading of the book. I definitely enjoy this book more than the first two. I think that is likely due to the fact that Henderson introduced both characters in the previous book as well as the romantic connection which makes that aspect of the narrative much more believable. This book survives round two of the purge from my personal collection.

This book is my favorite of the series simply because I like the leading characters more than the others. (I'm not really sure why.) the book was paced well with reasonable suspense built in. The characters were well developed. I had only two issues. One, Lisa seemed to heal from the fall relatively quickly. It could however be that I missed the fact that more time had passed between scenes than I realized. Two, Henderson's explanation of the culprit's motivation seemed a bit lacking as did the connection to the other murders. I may have read that too quickly but still I think she could have been a bit more clear. 
Aside from those two things I absolutely loved the book and continue to recommend both it and the series.
