Wow. I don't cry often at books, and I had absolutely no hope for this one because of how much I loved The Notebook. But I did not expect this ending at all and I couldn't help but cry when it all came to an end. This book had me questioning my relationship (in a good way!) and it really highlights what it's like being in a long term relationship. Without giving it away, it does prove that no matter how long you're with someone, love doesn't die!

If you read The Notebook and were slightly disappointed with the story, (especially since the movie was so great) read The Wedding. It's my favorite Nicholas Sparks book and does not disappoint.

okay, on with the review. :D
i'm absolutely amazed by the ending. totally unexpected. i really didn't see it coming. but Nicholas Sparks really never fails to impress me with his romantic senses.

This novel isn't the typical love story where a guy meet a girl and the story goes with the journey to find love. The Wedding talks about a marriage of Jane and Wilson. The story begins with Wilson forgetting their 29th anniversary, and of course, Jane is upset. But Wilson doesn't see this as only because he didn't remember their anniversary. He sees this as a result of his many mistakes during their married life. Wilson still loves Jane with all his heart, but it seems to him that his wife doesn't anymore. And so begins the journey, where Wilson will try to get Jane to fall in love with him once again. 

I don't want to say much about the plot of the story, because it will ruin the excitement of people who haven't read this book. The only thing I can say about the plot of this book is: really well planned out. Even the little details about the swan that Noah thought is Allie is somehow seems like an important detail. The characters of this book are all wonderful people. I especially adore Jane, who is said to be a very lovable person. The children of Jane and Wilson also gives a supporting part in the story, which makes everyone involved. :)

This is an extension of “The Notebook” following the marriage of one of Noah and Allies children. This is SO MUCH BETTER than The Notebook. I love the movie but the book was just eh. But this is a really lovely story about appreciating and fighting for the things that are worth it and putting forth an effort to change. The characters are beautiful and touching. I love Sparks just because his books and the world and characters in them are just so effortless and simple and I feel free after reading them!

A bit of a letdown, but I guess i didn't really know what this book was. I thought it was the immediate continuation after The Notebook. But I thought it was really sweet and nice read overall.
