It was amusing to listen to this book narrated by the man himself, especially, if we're honest, it would have been difficult to read on paper without filling in his distinct world-weary voice anyway. His tone of voice was of someone entirely unexcited by the prospect of reading his own book which is very much on brand and to have gotten otherwise would have been a disappointment.
Some of the British-centric events went over my head and I tuned out a bit through those, but if you like David Mitchell ranting about things, this is very much full of that.

Why is my jumper depreciating? Why are people so f***ing hung up about swearing? Why do the asterisks in that sentence make it okay?
