Iron and Steel in the Industrial Revolution

This contribution to the history of the English Iron Industry is . the product of the leisure, not of an historian, but of one engaged in teaching economic theory. The materials on which it is based were collected when I was on the staff first of the University of Sheffield, then of the University of Birmpngham ; but most of the actual writing has been done in Marnchester.
