Her command of poetic structures and rhyme to further her (astonishing breadth of) ideas is impressive, especially in the age of shallow Instagram poetry. Though this style made the philosophical inquiry into repetition, "Repeat Until Time," merely interesting to dissect, Sullivan truly shined in her more personal poems. I particularly loved her keen observations as a young adult in New York ("the slam-hold of horns / Sings a scale of human frustration") in "You, Very Young in New York" and the melancholic rhythm of "The Sandpit After Rain" ("there will only be a cubicle, / And the nectarines on the hospital windowsill").

A strong debut. I will be mulling over this collection for many days.
