Coming right on the heels of "Radical" by David Platt, this book had a lot to live up to. Perhaps I would have thought more of this book (and/or given it a higher rating and better review) had I not read so closely to such an amazing book.
That being said, I was not impressed by this book. Keller's prose was average at best. The truths he included, while Biblically solid, appeared to barely scratch the surface. He dealt with several powerful issues and struggles that all people, saved and unsaved, deal with yet he discussed each issue within the confines of a single chapter. These chapters were also filled with quotes and anecdotes. While these tools have their place, I think that a decent author would be able to craft their own words on a topic rather than relying on the words of others.
It's a decent book but I can't recommend it or recommend that a person stay away from it.
