Still vital and experimental in his late eighties, Mimmo Rotella, the Nouveau Réaliste legend who pioneered the art of "effacage," in which he partially cancels images from popular magazines, here collects 30 of those works, many of them published for the first time. Satirical texts by hip Italian novelist Tiziano Scarpa, some 40 years his junior, confirm the continued relevance of Rotella's work.
